3D IMO is a bad idea, Monkey Island should stay away from 3D. I'e always taught Monkey Island should have a cartoon feel to it. If you go 3D you lose that. Escape Fom Monkey Island was just horrible. Tales From Monkey Island is a good game but I have to admit i'm not too much of a fan of the 3D graphics. MI 3 is the best looking game IMO.

Tales of MI is actually pretty badass, gameplay wise. If you're complaining about the graphics, well, that's another issue entirely, but the game is definitely leaps and bounds ahead of MI4.

Not sure how it compares to MI3 though. Loved that game.

The only problem with SMI:SE, was that Guybrushes model looked wrong. The rest off the game was Beautiful.

TMI's only problems were occasional graphical bugs (guybrushes hand smoke turning into squares) and repetitive character models (only really noticeable in chapters 1/2, and a little in 3/4) The whole game looks leaps and bounds ahead of EMI.

This is AWESOME! Lucas badly fucked up the Arts in the first special edition remake. I really hope they'd use this excellect technique instead of rushing some ugly drawn graphics which hurt my eyes! The game really deserves a better treatment!!

@federicofrasisti I think they should leave Curse too, but maybe go back and redo Escape, maybe giving it cel-shading (not sure if it would look great but meh), better loading times (PC versions not too bad), make the PC version remember the Monkey Kombat moves for you (like the PS2 version), make the control scheme more like Tales and change the 'Acts' back to parts (personal preference). And of course, possibly make it longer :P

It stays true to the original spooky and more realistic feel of the first two games, rather than picking up the comic art of everything that followed, including SoMI SE. It would be awesome to have a special edition like this. The only thing that didn't fit was the character artwork used (0:37), which still made guybrush look like a bulemic scooby-doo sidekick.
