I'm confused on something here. The website says to use a ground cloth inside, that is on top of the screen floor. This means your mesh screen, the most fragile part of the tent, is crushed under the groundcloth against twigs, rocks and what have you shredding the stuff. Just how durable is this mesh?
Do it the other way, groundcloth beneath the mesh, and it seems the mesh would act as an all around dripline carrying moisture into bed with you.
Great video. I'd love to see some behind the scenes videos of how you make your custom gear, that would be pretty cool as long as it doesn't give away any of your trade secrets obviously :-) Big fan of your stuff.
@kc7fys - right you are. I think it is a great demonstration video and I really appreciate valesko1 taking the time to shoot it and post it. I want more! Specifically, I want to see what it is like to take the tent out of my pack and pitch it, please.

Love my hexamid! Awesome job, Joe! Cool you cut the weight down, too. I was able to seam-seal it no-problimo...

That is Awesome! I may get rid of my current tarp and bivy and just go with one of these.
Anyway to make this into a poncho too? LOL Then it would be the ultimate! better than a Gatewood.

No fair starting with the two back corners already staked. Please start with the tent and stakes in the bag, and go from there.

@marcclarke01
That wasn't intentional! I did a couple takes. Only one of the corners was staked. Good eye.

Oh, you're just being a hard-ass. This is a good demonstration video, you left out that part.

he he... I got that. It's a dynamite idea. I wish that cuben was cheaper. It is bound to lower in price eventually.
