I am not saying Bullock wasn't a good man, But he abused his power, like Roosevelt in some situations. anyone who knew George Hearst knew he was no fool, he was as tough and deadly as any. he would have been ready for anyone to come for him, he had ,money, power, an army of trained mercenaries and countless powerful wealthy people in his pockets,
Al swearegen was not used to dealing with people like Hearst, most of the people he dealt with, he could intimidate or deal with, Hearst does not make deals, he does not fear death, or man , he takes what he wants and he shows Al he is not afraid of him, that he does what he wants when he wants and how he deals with people who get in his way with this brutal but unique deceleration of war.
