"zrobic" - to do (in English and in Polish after the verb "we want" follows the infinitive "to do".

Idziemy nad jezioro. Zamiast Co chcemy dzisiaj robić?, Polacy mówią Co dzisiaj robimy?, ale wersja z filmu jest poprawna. W polskim trudne jest to, że podobnie jak w niemieckim rzeczowniki, przymiotniki odmieniają się przez przypadki, ale nie mamy rodzajników. I zdanie oznajmującę podobnie jak w hiszpańskim nie trzeba zaczynać od osoby, np. nie mówimy Ja czytam książkę, tylko pomijamy Ja i mówimy Czytam książkę.

Thank you, I like it very much and it helps. It would be even much more helpful, if you would pronounce the words fisrt very slowly and repeat - so learners have the chance to repeat themselves. That is how the brain learns - by repeating...

It's getting easier each time I watch it. Verbs are not much different to English verbs, you have to get to know the genders. Past tenses, that's another world, but past tense is difficult in English as well.

Polish is not so hard as you think and some things are a lot easier than in other languages. For example polish has pure phonetic writing. Once you get how each letter or digraph sounds, you may read everything cause it's unambiguous. There are several digraphs like sz, cz, rz. Substitute ch > h, sz > sh, cz > ch, rz > hard sh and you can read it. There are only three tenses - past, present and future (that's why Poles are often messing english grammar).

Prepend "co" - what, "czy" - if, "gdzie" - where, or any other word which makes sense before a sentence and you'll get a question. For example in english you would say "what's this?" and in polish "co to jest?". Then someone answers "This is a cat.", in polish "To jest kot.". But if you don't know what "cat" means you have to ask "What does 'cat' mean?". In polish you'll simply add "co", "Co to jest kot?". You may always prepend "co" and you'll always get a valid question.
