Yes, but what happens if you empty half of your ammo, then take half of theirs?

@hamelzz If you empty half then you'll have 6 bullets. You'd then pick up their entire sniper and have 18 bullets and everything would spawn normally.

@TannerTheGamer What if both sniper rifles are lying on the ground during play(lets say with half ammo in each) and you pick them both up. Then keep them on your back till after their scheduled spawn times, effectively dirtying them both. Will they both spawn simultaneously when u trade the wasted sniper for a new weapon or what?

@molesticles Whichever sniper rifle is picked up second will be the sniper rifle that the game considers you to be holding. So, if you pick up Snipe A and get the ammo from Snipe B, then you are holding Snipe B and Snipe A will spawn on its scheduled timer. Also, you can't "dirty" weapons in Reach with this spawn system. The new spawn timer is started immediately after the Sniper is picked up, not after the player stops moving with it, like Halo 3.

@TannerTheGamer Well you could dirty the opposite teams sniper by keeping it on your back with no bullets and drop it whenever you want coz it won't spawn till you exchange it.

oh yeah and one more question. ive heard that if you dont touch rockets at all they will disapear after a minute of sitting in its spawn then restart its counter. is this true and is it true for any other weopons. i would be testing this myself but i dont get my xbox back till friday and i feel having these questions in the comments will more fully cover everything about the weopons for future watchers.

yeah i was wondering if say you pick up sniper one then pick up sniper two so you have an absolutely full sniper and you shoot off three rounds(the # doesn't matter its just for easier describing) then go back to sniper two and take the three bullets required to completely fill your sniper again. does taking partial ammo count as picking it up? does the sniper with partial ammo sitting in its spawn disapear or stay there with partial ammo and which one respawns after all this?

@werkerey If you pick up snipe 1 then snipe 2, the game now considers you to be holding sniper 2 if and only if you are able to take all of the ammo in sniper 2. If you can't take all the ammo in snipe 2, then the game considers you to be holding snipe 1 still. Once you have all of the ammo, the original sniper will spawn on its original timer. You can collect ammo from the original snipe 1 but snipe 2 will not respawn again until ALL of the ammo has been taken from sniper 1.

@werkerey cont. Basically, you can have a maximum of 2 sniper rifles on the map but a maximum of 36 sniper bullets even though each sniper spawns with 12 bullets (on Asylum)

@TannerTheGamer ok that helps but i still want to know what happens to the snipe that is left where it started with partial ammo harvested. i ask this because if it stays w/o disapearing then you could carry both snipers w/ only leaving one bullet in the snipe thats left and never drop the 1 your holding then you leave the entire map with one bullet until the one bullet is used and the snipe is dropped and the respawn timer runs its entire course but only if the harvested snipe doesn't come back

@BEProductions82 heres an easy way to understand it,

sniper 1 is picked up timer starts.

sniper 2's ammo is taken timer starts.

sniper 1's timer is up it respawns.

sniper 2's timer is up but its still being held by a player (via ammo) so it doesn't respawn.

make sense? :P
