Glad the water didn't get into your house. There is a good chance the lawn mower can be cleaned up. Drain it out and put fresh oil and gas in it and maybe flush out the carb and it will probably run.

I hope this next round of rain doesn't cause you any further damage.

I'm sorry to see the damage, Dave. But I'm glad you and your wife made it through safely. I only can hope that you don't get anymore rain this week.

I bet the lawn mower is fine. You may want to check that there is no water in the oil first.

The carb may need some cleaning. First take the plug out and put a little gas in the cylinder. Plug the plug back in and start the thing up. Get that engine running right away so oil coats all of the parts that could rust.

Try to dry your garage out.  Mold will be your next enemy. How is the crawl space?

thanks for the update, glad to see the rain didn't wash you all away. hopefully the mower is the only victim. should be ok with a fluid change and a bit of primming. my friends 50cc scooter got nicked a couple of years ago and was found by police in the river fully submerged and after a fluid change and wash that worked again. she rode it for another year. best wishes to you all.
