  • Excellent. One of my favorite things about Thailand is EATING, especially the street food. I never avoid or am afraid of the street vendors. Some of the best eating there is by the streetside, with scooter, cars, and people passing by.

  • Super love Miang Khum , when my hotel GM wife invited to their dinner gathering, just cant stop to eat this...

  • @nagayoshii glad you like the THai videos- Miang of all sorts rock!

  • This was one of my favorites at the food fest yesterday.

  • @earonk so glad you liked it! Hope I can cook for you again some day soon - September 15th - Susan Feniger's Street Restaurant..make a note...more to come!

  • sawasdee Chef,

thank you for your reply, can that leaf be found here in los angeles at any of the asian markets? looks so simple to make other than locating a place to get the leaf. bkk, manila/cebu, and hong kong are the 3 places on the top of my list of places i want to visit. the past year particularly the past few months i have been doing a lot of reading on these places and the foods. the past couple months bazaar-foods show on the travel channel has had episodes on bkk, manila, hk

  • @alienistic You can always get the leaves at A Grocery Warehouse 1487 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA‎ - (213) 250-1446‎. See the short video I did some time ago for a special event with Roy Choi of Kogi-its on my YouTube Channel. Come to the LA Food fest to taste it!

  • Mmm sounds tasty. what kind of leaf is that she wraps it in?

    very nice presentation =)

  • @alienistic the leaves are called WILD PEPPER LEAF OR BETEL LEAF (Piper sarmentosum)—Thai: Bai phluu; Vietnamese: la lot; Tamil: bulath.

A distant relative to peppercorns, this broad, glossy, heart-shaped leaf has a peppery bite with a prized astringency. This same plant also produces a fruit that

is often called a “long pepper,” an elongated, cone-shaped pepper. It is sometimes marketed as “Balinese long pepper”

  • Here is a taste of what I will be preparing at the LA Street Food Fest, July 24th. Straight from the streets of Bangkok...I will be making this for YOU! Come taste the flavors of Thailand's Street Food.
