I watched this as a kid I must have been 7 or 8 and it blew me away especially the elongating arm and the sorcerer without a heart...gosh when i watched this trailer my own heart was pounding!
I remember seeing this movie as a kid. It was the early 1970's and I saw it at the old Fairborn Theater as a double feature matinee. The place had a towering art deco neon front, an elegant velvet lined lobby with columns and a big auditorium. I think the other feature was Forbidden Planet. I've looked for Captain Sinbad on DVD or VHS for years, but so far no luck.
I remember this film one saturday morning during the 70s and recall some of the scenes such as a sword being thrust into the evil magician ruler who still lives! The dark tower where they have to climb an immense rope to reach the magicains beating heart that is guarded by a giant hand! Very good, excellent classic fantasy adventure film. Will buy the new dvd.
This Sindad film is actually pretty good. It doesn't have the Ray Harry Hausen animation, but it still had a pretty decent amount of action and special effects. I like the swamp scene where the one guy gets pulled into the vines up in the air. Then two guys fall down a water hole. Followed by a guy who gets attacked by alligators. LOL pretty intense stuff if you're a kid. SPFX are dated, but I get tired of all the fake CGI SPFX these days. The unreal camera shots and angles. So fake
@8242lemrac Try looking on amazon.com they have this film for about 15-20 bucks if you're willing to shell out the cash. I just watched it today with my kids. They liked it. It has some pretty cool surprises in it for an older film.

Is that Dick Tuffield narrating? If so, way cool!

@theshadow1932 Not Dick Tufeld. Tufeld had a deeper "timber" to his voice, but that would have been cool!
