@NickBFTD The only reason the textures are lower resolution is because the PS3 has a video output of 1080p where as the Vita has a screen that's resolution is 960x544 so the textures will most likely be 720p which still isn't bad considering it's a handheld gaming device :D

It's okay to buy if you have vita and not actual ps3. But other than that, we have already seen mortal kombat 9 and it was horibbly balanced game. And there are much better fighting games yet to come in near months.

@BrokenMrFix14 I never said that, graphics matter, they help immerse you in the experience. However gameplay is key, is play tons of games older than 8 years and enjoy them. Even the developer for Call of duty came out and said, 30 fps is too low for a game to run. They sacrifice graphics to get performance and achieve 60 fps. On pc, we get performance and quality. Consoles achieve 60 fps at 540p up scaled, I achieve 360 at 1080p. Graphics, performance and quality make a good game.

@zombiex21x yea it's pretty cool, but the main problem with the vita hardware IMO is the analog sticks. i've used the 3DS circle pad pro & normal circle pad & believe me they're pretty down right good. as for the vita they're in a awkward position like the PSP and 3DS D-pad, which is no problem for me but i would prefer the vita to have a slide up screen revealing the analog sticks.
@NerdyTurd307 There is not a console, nor a computer, that runs at 1280x1080p natively. The PS3 textures are only 1280x720. The Vita has more RAM than the PS3, which is what leads people to believe that it is more powerful. Some games will run at 60fps on the vita.
@2ndAct da fuk r u on about? the vita has 512MB (1024MB goes into 1GB) to a rumored 1GB of RAM while the PS3 has 4GB of RAM this has been proven and confirmed several times by sony and third party companies. and yes they r computers that can run at 1280x1080 i've seen the option on some of my games on my 1920x1080 monitor and wipeout is actually running at 1280x1080 UPSCALED to 1920x1080 there's a big difference.

Its is already putting out comparable games at its launch vs PS3 late in its life-cycle. Vita also doesn't have to push as many pixels as PS3.

@ShaDowLegendD yes for example like fifa12 is gonna have head to head online and resistance is gonna have 16 v 16 and they even announced that uncharted is gonna have multiplayer but not with the release maybe a DLC.

for starters sony never stated the vita is even 2 thirds as powerful as the PS3. just bcuz wipeout hd can run on the vita dosen't mean it's just as powerful, why? u ask, simple. wipeout HD does NOT take full advantage of the PS3, the resalution is scaled down to 544p, not 1280x1080p, the frame rate is NOT 60 FPS. & for fuks sake look up the PS3 and PS vita hardware specs, how hard is that?!

Super nerds and people who just don't want to pay for 40-60 dollar games. I play on pc for pc games like diablo. If i'm gonna play my sf or mw3 I'm playing on console how it should be played.

@BrokenMrFix14 I never said that, graphics matter, they help immerse you in the experience. However gameplay is key, is play tons of games older than 8 years and enjoy them. Even the developer for Call of duty came out and said, 30 fps is too low for a game to run. They sacrifice graphics to get performance and achieve 60 fps. On pc, we get performance and quality. Consoles achieve 60 fps at 540p up scaled, I achieve 360 at 1080p. Graphics, performance and quality make a good game.

@zombiex21x yea it's pretty cool, but the main problem with the vita hardware IMO is the analog sticks. i've used the 3DS circle pad pro & normal circle pad & believe me they're pretty down right good. as for the vita they're in a awkward position like the PSP and 3DS D-pad, which is no problem for me but i would prefer the vita to have a slide up screen revealing the analog sticks.

@NerdyTurd307 There is not a console, nor a computer, that runs at 1280x1080p natively. The PS3 textures are only 1280x720. The Vita has more RAM than the PS3, which is what leads people to believe that it is more powerful. Some games will run at 60fps on the vita.

@2ndAct da fuk r u on about? the vita has 512MB (1024MB goes into 1GB) to a rumored 1GB of RAM while the PS3 has 4GB of RAM this has been proven and confirmed several times by sony and third party companies. and yes they r computers that can run at 1280x1080 i've seen the option on some of my games on my 1920x1080 monitor and wipeout is actually running at 1280x1080 UPSCALED to 1920x1080 there's a big difference.

@NerdyTurd307 I can't believe how completely wrong you are in some of your comments. First, PS3 does NOT have 4GB of ram. That's just ludicrous. That's a dream amount of memory for PS4 and the next XBOX. It has 256MB video memory and 256MB of GDDR3. Its has equal the amount of the Vita. Vita has full potential to look as good as PS3 games. Its is already putting out comparable games at its launch vs PS3 late in its life-cycle. Vita also doesn't have to push as many pixels as PS3.

Also, you cannot compare PC ram with console ram. Consoles need no where near the memory that PC's need(Operating Systems). You are also completely wrong about Vita.

@aknbad23 try searching "Xbox 360 vs. PS3: Round 4" on youtube and u should get the video i was talking about. make sure it was posted by technobuffalo and u should be on the right video. and it didn't say the system RAM on the link u gave me it only said the GPU RAM like in the techno buffalo video. i think i got the $GB RAM thing years ago, remember the 360 only has 512MB DDR3 RAM which was average for PCs back in 2005, just look at quake 4 while in 2006 4GB is only slightly overkill

@NerdyTurd307 The resolution that you see when running computer games is 1280x1024, a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 upscale 1280x720 (widescreen) to 1920x1080 (widescreen) resolution.

I think this move is a bitch slap to alot of MK fans. We have paid good money and stuck with the franchise through so much. hell i re purchased the new MK because I missed playing new mortal kombat. With this special release on the vita giving them 15 costumes and new things like challenge tower, shoa khan playable, new pits, new test ur .... challenges.. all of this could have been DLC for all of the fans. not just for the rich ones that can afford a vita. we all deserve these extras! WTF?
