improper tightening, the accessory belts wear over time and loosen, just tighten the tensioner, if it is an automatic tensioner it should probably be replaced along with new belts.
Do not push on the tensioner to tighten up the T-Belt & Balancer Belt. The spring loaded tensioners does it automatically; otherwise, you'll end up with that whurring noise.
the timing belt on my odyssey did the same thing then the timing belt was scheduled to be replaced, and now it doesnt do that anymore

realmadrid091884 1 year ago
hey man, that is not the timing belt; it's the alternator belt

@47blackdeath That squeak sound either belt timing pulley or water pump or alternator bearings.

The timing belt was over tensioned you need to follow the service manual instructions for tensioning.

theres a whine more audible on deceleration that is a tight balancer belt.

is your car making a wistle type of sound?

These timing belts have self-adjusting tensioners. I've never heard of one being too tight. Usually they get loose when they wear out.
