Man, I could almost cry watching this. Remembering how awesome shit used to be, having to outlive our heroes, watching the years drag on and the scene changing -usually for the worse. All you kids don't know what you missed out on. I grew up in LA in the 70's and early 80's and spent every weekend in clubs like The Whiskey, Rainbow Bar and Grill, Anti Club and My Place. The thing then was you got to actually party and drink with the likes of Mike Ness, Excene Cervenka, John Doe, Janette Napolatano. And I even met Rodney Bingenheimer several times in the clubs. It was a great time that changed the face of music forever.

Derek O'Brien and Mike Ness are the only ones still alive from this lineup.

That would be Derek O'Brien on the drums during this era of the band (during which the Another State Of Mind tour took place). He left the band with Brent Liles (bassist in this video/era) on New Year's Eve 1984 after Mike Ness accepted heroin from the promoter as payment for that show instead of money, leaving the rest of the band unpaid. O'Brien and Liles later played together in Agent Orange, and O'Brien also played with D.I. and The Adolescents.

@BarrioPunkRock Kind of a mixed answer. In the very earliest days of Social D, the Agnews and Casey Royer were members and that's when the song Amoeba was written. Mike wrote the music and Casey Royer wrote the lyrics. After that lineup split up and Mike brought Dennis on board, he changed the lyrics to the current 1945, while the Adolescents kept on playing it as Amoeba.
