@maestrularmelor most of the race car like this has a sequential transmission, with 2 clutches but none that you have to actually step on, like the ones you would find on a ferrari or Lamborghini where you would just have to flick a paddle on the wheel or on the floor like the car above, but there is another tranny, forgot the name, that is exactly like the car above but there is a clutch that you would have to step on, mostly found in drag cars or other race car for quicker gear change

@holymolydonutshop123 Yes. Some drivers still heel & toe, it's a personal preference and sometimes a question of technical durability. I've understood especially young drivers (usually coming from single-seaters) tend to just left-foot brake.

@maestrularmelor but they dont use it because when they pull the shift lever back the ignition is stopped for about 3/100 seconds. in this time you can easly switch into a higher gear. this system is called power shifting.

what a dick. driver flashes lights to let slower traffic know he is gonna pass. he is racing someone not far ahead but yet the dousche still cuts him off and holds him back for two corners ruining the battle.

@staticCable lol its common sense, when you are braking you get pushed forward and when you gas it pushes you back. So going down in gear is pushing and going up in gear is pulling.

I think the shifts are correct, for me the gear number on his display changed as the audio did...possibly a delay in gear changes. Oddly enough it seems to shift down without delay.

No, the video is all the way not in sync. It's a sequential gearbox and the change is immediate... but in the video it isn't and there is a lag.

the dial on some of the cars to not react instantly sometimes, the computers that run the dial are light to save weight and so are not all that powerful and may be prone to slight lagg

Not possible because semi-autos gearboxes are illegal - except if the homologated road model version is using one, but even in that case the gearbox must remain original.

So it's likely sequential, with ignition cut. So on upshift the driver can keep the throttle floored, but in downshift throttle blipping is required.

e.g. (now obsolete) Ferrari F360 used one in it's early days, but it was highly unsuccessful attempt because it was slower than sequential stick.

You're right, FIA GT is such a great sport but the coverage is bad. And it may sound silly but the coverage quality is, I think, as much important as the sport itself. Take Stock auto racing, for example (NASCAR, IROC), the sport itself isn't all that great but ESPN makes it look really entertaining.

i cn see where ur coming from, but the murcielago (i hate saying stuff like this, sounds sad lol) revs considerably higher than the DBR9, and if u listen to each of the 3 angles, the rev limiter stays the same... i dunno, its one hell of a noise though!
