some people say shutter speed doesn't matter when your shooting video (cause it stays open no matter what... but others say, it affects the actual frame (that is 24fps) each of those frames can be caught at 1/500ths of a second or faster or slower (but not slower than 1/24th obviously) is this the case... or does it not matter?
Isn't it amazing that once the video world opened up, the kit lenses are looking so damn good?

just double the shutter speed
e.g. if u are shooting in 25 fps then the shutter should be 1/50 or faster
and if u shot in 30 fps the shutter must be 1/60 or faster ans so on...

Guys, just using the d7k for the videos...
i notice a lot of Rolling shutter when my camera makes slow tilt moves!
When i us 10-24 on my merlin the footage is unusable for the jello effect! Any suggestions to avoid the effect?
I'm using 1/50th or 1/100th shutter speed
