  • neat, when was this

  • @dirtbike5100 That was way back in April, I just happened to be passing by.

  • @icedragon99115 haha I didn't realize that it was the same person, that is why I removed it. Sorry about that.

  • @icedragon99115 bubble canopy's are pretty much for comfort and just makes it easier to move around in the cockpit.

  • @icedragon99115 happy to help

  • @icedragon99115 The Nanchang CJ-6 is a licensed variant of the YAK-18 not a 52, the Chinese only changed the fuselage and cockpit layout on the plane and left the cowling and wings the same. About 15 years after the CJ-6 the Russians built a YAK-52 and copied the CJ-6 design. If this did not answer your question then feel free to comment back.

  • @icedragon99115 Those are Nanchang CJ-6's

  • The first and third planes are Nanchang CJ-6's

  • @icedragon99115 Thanks Daniel, I wasn't sure. Your probably right , They look awfully similar

  • wow i love old planes! do you own a few?? i like the biplanes alot:-) how is it with no navigation up there? wouldnt it be hard trying to land them? great vid!

  • @montecarloss85HO I owned the one that I use for my Icon. Navigation is pretty easy, almost everything in the air now has full instruments, or at least a compass, plus GPS is portable and cheap now. Landing is pretty easy too.

  • im going to take flying lessons and there around $3500

  • Nice old planes! I love to fly. I wish I had license.

  • @edzgarage It's never too late Ed.

  • Brings back memories of flying out of Stone Mtn.'s field back in the 60's. on Sundays we'd just go out & watch, them I took ground school. Love this video!

  • Very cool! What airport is this?

  • @Isheetmadrawers Flying W (N14) Medford, N.J.

  • Great vid. I really like the sound of those radial engines.

    Have a goodun' D-Ray

  • nice day for a flight

  • nice.

    thumbs up for sure !

  • Very cool!! I have always wanted to get my pilots license, but there is no way on gods green earth I would ever be able to afford flying!

  • @mbyr31 I got my license back in 82. Lessons were $35 an hour. I have no idea what they are today, I would imagine at least twice as much, maybe three times with the price of fuel these days.

  • @805ROADKING Actually, it's about $3500 total to get your license here right now. That includes everything. Thats not bad, but when you rent a plane (I would never be able to afford one myself!!) its about $80 an hour to fly. You don't get much in an hour of flying!!
