i hate it when people think rottweilers are mean dogs i have 2 and they are the sweetest things ever dont think a dog is bad when it bites you if it did it must be cuz you did somthing to them

@mattrotten Dr. Dunbar has dealt with Thousnds of rotties and he is a behaviorist. And Rotties were bred to be farm dogs ( herding and pulling. That's why it was standard to dock their tails), so dominace is not an issue with rotties.... or and domestic dog...

@1hunterdale Nope. They will not get parvo as long as you keep them up to date on shots. Kennel dogs and every rescue dog would have parvo if that wasn't the case.

@1hunterdale Nah, I go there 5 days a week. It's not about money, it's about lack of knowledge. I know some clients that just didn't know that the puppies needed parvo shots and they were filthy rich because they spent 5k on a new german shepherd. I know plenty about dogs. Thanks =]

i had a bear bloodling was biger i have one now thats that size 130lbs the other one was 189lbs and was only 15months old

@tekkchick i seen the breeder in god fancer mag he had bear blood line . the breeder was in germany . he had the momer and father on site so i when t over and wow thay had some big rotts thay make the 1 over here look sick like runts i seen them jump a 7 foot fence easy the mans feman when has puppy only has up to 3 at a time i payed 10,000 for 1 you get what you pay for .he was a good dog

@tekkchick he died from parvo when he was 18 month old . his momer and father was big i mean not fat they had muscle father was 38in at back was 5 feet long his head was 30 in round the mother was liltte smaller . the puppy i got when he was befour he died was 38 at theback 189lbs if you are a man make a fist that how big his paws were bettean his eyes was 5 in acrossed . my vet said they never seen a rott or any dog that big and he wasnt done growing . it hard for people to think of a dog

@1hunterdale That's the standard. Like I said, they are working dogs, bred for agility and strength, not size. I had a german import that topped out at 127lbs, he had a perfect topline and no hip problems what so ever. He wasn't a runt, he was the standard. He wasn't one of those overbred pieces of crap you're seeing nowadays. Pitbulls have the same problem now. They are being overbred for size and muscle mass, not agility and working ability.

@tekkchick he was a good working dog he could jump over a 7 foot fence no problem and was fast to but parvo killed him . he was a good garddog i had a trainer train him he grab a man and sling him like a toythe man said you have seen death till a dog open his mouth and put you head in it he were a full body bite suit with a heamit

@1hunterdale I know plenty about dogs, I've owned them for 24 yrs and showing them for 20 plus I'm a vet tech. They can be fully protected from parvo with the necessary vaccinations. Look it up.

@1hunterdale that size becouse of how small they are over here and when u see a big dog there are fat over whight . the vet told me to run him on a traded mill 3 times a week for 45 mins and just feed him1 bowl dog food a day to keep him fit ha was a good gard dog

Rotties growl for alot of reasons, Our Fritzi was only 9 weeks old you would pet her and she growled like she was gonna kill you. Some dogs are just vocal like that, its thier way of saying oooooooh that feels good keep doin it!

@LYTsKiNbOoTy That could be a problem as there is such a thing as a Rottie purr. You just have to learn which is growling and which is purring. VERY easy to confuse the two.
