  • @lostborneo they found the dog cos they were filming the debris for the news lol.. Use your brains..

  • how did they find the dog in the first place?

    asians

  • Omg that is so beautiful.. See his reaction when he sees his mum.. That's so special ;)

  • and.... faith restored in humanity

  • That is nice to see some nice human done the right things, what a lucky dog,

  • What a wonderful story. There is a moral here..... never give up.

  • This is the first video with so many views that doesn't have a SINGLE dislike. (inb4 trolls)

  • I don't know about them, but if that happened and I had to leave my dog to get to saftey, I would be like " Fuck you! I'm staying right here untill you can bring my dog with me!"

  • es increible, hasta los perros japoneses son diferentes, buen documento filmado, gracias por subirlo, y gracias por rescatarlo en mexico no lo hubieran hecho, estamos jodidos.

  • omg that really made me cry. I wish every single living thing in this world was treated with love and care like this dog. Rise above the hatred in this world and be great, these people did something great, so beautiful. Money is the illusion, love is the reality.

  • thank you, Japan, for being so kind and caring to your animals. you really are a gentle culture.

  • In the acient Egypt, people used to love animals like cocodriles, cats and birds and the same time kill and eat other humans. Contradictory humanity.

  • good this wasnt in China,,we would be watching a burger King advertisement now..

  • @glion69 some of the chinese people in china is very cruelty to animals, pls don't buy the fur product, because some chinese stolen the cats and dogs and make fur clothes and hat.

  • awwwww, if only we wasn't spending trillions on killing people. <3

  • Japanese people are so awesome!!! :) greetings from Colombia

  • I love the Japanese, except to what they're doing to anime. (I'm sorry, I'm a nerd.)

  • so you think that when they saw this dog there an THEN heard some people screaming they should just like ignore the dog? animals are exactly the same valuable than any human!

  • Some person was probably screaming from 500 meters away - " HELP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP! THIS IS GOD DAMN RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Truly warms the heart to see such love

  • Yes, animals should be treated at least near human rights..such loyal creatures like dogs..

  • This makes me wish I was Japanese. If you are Japanese you should be proud.

  • What kind of dog is that?

  • Just amazing the dog AND owner are still alive.........

  • ouch...my heart...i cried AGAIN... :'(

  • They found a tiny dog on a raft of garbage but they couldn't find Tom Hanks?

  • I wanna bawl my eyes out now!!!

  • Screw you youtube.....Im freaking crying....AGAIN!

Any more time spend here and im going to turn into a girl

  • this made me cry

  • awwwwwwwwww,so touching,um gonna cry:D

  • From testimony I've heard from rescue workers in a disaster, this isn't that surprising really. Based on the surroundings in the video, they've probably been circling while searching for survivors and have found few to none. Spending a whole day searching for survivors and not finding any is extremely depressing and drastically lowers morale. So to see movement below and another life to save, even if that life is "just a dog" makes it worth it to the rescue workers.

  • Beautiful reunion. Very impressed to see the huge rescue effort for a dog - poor little thing was looking so forlorn until his or her guardian showed up.

  • dun worry,

this kindness is offset by the jap whaling fleet

  • ...Reminds me of Hachiko!

  • @Dungarth Totally what I was thinking!

  • Sorry, but no dog (or person) can survive without water for 3 weeks, especially cast adrift at sea and exposed to the elements. People just accept this story cause they don't want to ruin a good fairytale. The only way it could have lived that long is if it had been raining and water had collected somewhere on the debris. Which leaves the question of food. That didn't look like a dog that hadn't ate for 3 weeks. What exactly was it feeding on?

  • @fortyninepages The dog wasn't adrift for three weeks. They saved the dog from the debris and it took them almost three weeks to locate the owner. The dog and owner were separated for three weeks after the tsunami. It never said the dog was adrift that entire time. I just love that people care enough to save the animals too.

  • @Cloudburst2000 Ok, my mishtake!

  • wtf with all the camera?

  • Thank goodness for compassion

  • Love transcends all boundaries.

  • I'm absolutely touched at the fact that the rescuers went through all of that to save a cute doggy, and essentially a family member. Amazing.

  • @StraightUPdizzle There is always someone that has to through out a racist comment.. Japan banned eating dogs thousands of years ago.

  • @StraightUPdizzle Uhh...no

  • @StraightUPdizzle japanese don't eat dogs!

  • 2:02 OMG HES STRANGLING THE DOG OMFG!

  • @Epiiiiiiiiiiic it's called hugging.. the dog was crying of happiness.

  • I cried a litlle bit from overload of happiness :) amazing dog

  • Faith in human kind: RESTORED!! :D

  • gorgeous! finkeLpro, why so angry if it's really 'just a dog'?

  • One lucky dog!

  • This is amazing, who cares if you fuckers thing its "just a dog" its amazing, its what the world is here for. To be there for eachother. Fuq da haters, this is beautiful!

  • @finkeLpro you idiot go to HELL!!!!

  • @Ddave1010 you go to hell. I hate people who get more upset when a dog dies than when a human dies

  • @finkeLpro Oh get off the cross Finkel, no one is showing more concern for animals than people. One must wonder why you jump to *that* particular conclusion.

  • @finkeLpro How do you think that owner feels you idiot? She was probably worrying her ass off about her beloved pet. You probably never knew true love which is why you spout off such stupid remarks.

  • @finkeLpro finkeLpro <that dog

  • @finkeLpro Me.

  • @finkeLpro wtf?! a dog is also considered part of a family you retard, dog's have feeling just like humans do, there many dogs that save the life of many people and a lot of dumbasses like you could care less about it.I've had my dog since i was 8 yrs old and i love him to death, if ANYBODY tried to hurt him, that person would have to think about it twice next time.it's not my fault that your parents didn't show you what love is by not giving you any.

  • @finkeLpro and i agree that in those circumstances a human would be more important but if i saw a dog about to die or stuck in the middle of the ocean i would do ANYTHING to save that living creature.

  • just beautiful!

  • So much money and effort into saving one dog. But this is the true mark of humanity.

  • @UltraEpicLoser Not all of humanity sadly... at least these Japanese people value life more than money.

  • @UltraEpicLoser Idiot.

  • @UltraEpicLoser i still have faith in humanity!

  • this video makes me cry! after wathing horibble thing about dogs in china and japan i am suprised they have rescued this dog! thank god there are ppl who cares and loves dogs as i am!

  • @smileyface6183 japanese and chinese people are very different, if this was china they would not have given a single thought.

  • fk being stuck out their on that lump of wreckage

  • if u added some music in this vid. it will make people cry..

  • japan is great they didnt cry about the tsunami they just got back building like lego i hear there motorways were built a few months after look at new orleans america can learn by helping its people man

  • almost made me cry

  • Good Work!!!

  • japans cool.

  • aww this makes me cry

  • Heartbreaking to those animals who didn't make it.

  • Who put these onions here?

  • What breed is that? Babe of a dog.

  • I remember when hurricane Katrina hit and the rescuers refused to pick up pets like dogs and cats. Pet owners were literally stranded on their rooftops with their animals because they refused to leave them behind. Here we see, in Japan, how the rescuers pick up the dogs and save them because they truly are our kin. They are our brothers and sisters and 100 percent part of the family. I give big props to Japan because they are far more humane than the US.

  • @lambyiii they just wanted to eat him bro

  • @bonzie88 LOL....better than letting him drown I suppose.

  • @lambyiii

I remember when hurricane Katrina hit and the rescuers refused to pick up pets like dogs and cats. > I did not know that. This is a big surprise to me,because I have believed that the US is one of the most advanced countries in terms of taking care of animals and at least more advanced than Japan (my country). Anyhow,as you pointed out, we , human beings have to take care of any life, I think.

  • @lambyiii America is actually pretty piss poor when it comes to animal rights, though it fails to see it because they simply doesn't see things as cruelty. Some of what the entire EU and other first world nations consider cruelty, America actively performs.

  • look the dog face before and after. amazing

  • That dog is probably radioactive :(. BTW what's with asians/Japanese and face masks?

  • @kotapaka SARS, it's a type of pneumonia, inflammation in the lungs. It spread through the air.

  • @Transmissionaire Sorry - but that is completely not the case. No cases of SARS have been diagnosed since 2004. In many Asian countries when a person has a cold or flu, they wear a mask to be considerate in preventing others from getting it. It is considered a social norm.

  • @wiseworld1 Uh huh...

  • Dawwww! :-D

  • 0 dislikes! :)

  • even with the facemask on the dog just knew it was the owner :D

  • LOVE is LOVE! Love it!

  • would never have seen this post Katrina

  • so touching to see people putting animals in importance, I never would have dreamed people would go through the effort to fly a helicopter to save a dog, I thought society was too con-animal rights and wouldn't care enough for animals but to see this is beautiful, touching and makes me feel like society is making progress, beautiful video!

  • @AntiSpeciesistWorld DUde, this in japan, a very good country with very good people, but unfourtunatits not everywhere thats like that

  • awww that made me cry omg uhuhuuh

  • i miss my dog! ima go bring him with me :c

  • These Japs are a commited lot... Respect

  • i love these videos, but a dog in japan whats wrong here?

  • @CrazyMan15218 That's such an odd thing that you're confused by that. Japanese generally LOVE their dogs and spoil them just as much as we do here in the west.

  • I can't stop crying

  • omg im like crying because its amazing and cute

  • beautiful
