What Defranco is not looking at is how expensive is to hire new workers. First there is a lot of taxes, next there is the training of this workers and finally there is the turnover. People quit repetitive jobs on high numbers. So if I have somebody who can do a job well and has tremendous experience I will pay the extra money in salary. Why because I save on training, turnover, taxes and more importantly quality of service. We need more Warrens in the world.

In addition is the government controlling his job to where he must work the overtime? There are places who refuse to hire and require overtime. It does not always cheaper to simply hire a new person. There are alot of expenses that go into hire a new employee. Drug screening, back ground check, training and so on. But the biggest expense for companies is health insurance. It would be cheaper to pay one person overtime than pay two people bade pay and two health insurance plans. Many companies would rather pay overtime over multiple health insurance plans. He is not in the wrong if anyone is it would be the toll booth company.
