@688james: Actually Dvorak was primarily inspired by African American spirituals. He was quoted as stating that they were a truly American form of music and spent much of his time studying them.

Never having heard the piece before, I am unsure which order the various clips are to be played in. Is the 10-minute limit on clips still in force? It would be fantastic to have classics like this in their entirety on the Tube.
@cedricthecentaur To answer your question, YouTube has lifted the 10 minute limit but I do not know what the criterion is. I received an email notice from them that I was now allowed to post clips 15 minutes and longer. I do not know if there is a limit or who is granted this privilege. I hope folks that receive the longer posting notice will begin to "redo" their postings and combine all those fragmented movements. It would be nice to get entire movements of symphonies.
@kraftpr What he could do is put the list of parts how they should go with links into the description. It is impossible to follow just the suggestions by youtube.
@1Silvus1 That's marvellous news. I think there have always been long clips posted by Youtube itself, but its brilliant that they have opened it up to members.

I cant believe that this piece of art (but only I/2) has been blocked by the GEMA in Germany.
Incredible.

In videos about Karajan he laughs, smiles, jokes with others and is, as one colleague put it , "is very rascally".

@cieobt2 Just by looking I wouldn't have guessed that, but suppose I shouldn't be surprised. He is a musician after all

@shawnreidy08 Absolutely. That music is America's true soul. Americans can be proud of this music. It is their music.
