Greetings from Finland! I have also made a bodhran tipper for a musician friend of mine, mead (a traditional drink around 1st of May here), and cider. Now I have my second ever batch fermenting in the refrigerator, it will take some time I figure.
Liked this vid, I have a lathé in my shed I got from a friend but never used it... Your vid may well be just what I needed to give it a go myself, TNX for posting this...
Exactly what I was looking for!!! Thank You... despite what other folks say, your video is perfect on how to turn a drumstick or tipper stick! I will be trying this out on a lathe tomorrow :-)
i like the song thats played here could somebody tell me the name of the group or the singer

How'd it go???

considering I've only turned a few pieces of wood, it went very well! Now I just need to find more time to be able to do this stuff :-(

@32bituser I'm a little slow to reply - it went well!!! I made two tippers and one is my primary - made of olive wood.

Video sucked but the music was great. Hey, can use that big Q-tip thingy for what, hum, ever I want?

a nice relaxing video to watch, and it is a very good one to watch if , like me, you haven't much of a clue about using a woodturning lathe-thankyou.

Watch and ring should come off while working. It would be a shame if there was a bad moment... Great video!
