  • I don't give a shit, I'll end these little fuckers lives in the drop of a hat to protect and defend my Marine brothers and for my country, and I won't lose a night of sleep because of it, these kids can join whatever the fuck they want to join, but should I ever meet any of them in battle, they can pretty much consider themselves walking dead men ( or should I say kids) walking!

  • what song is this?

  • 1:36

    where is that?

  • @afarakistan Probably in Combodia or however it's spelled.

  • Russia i think

  • @afarakistan maybe France

  • Lucky bastards

  • @theclockmace Are you kidding? For what? You think it would be real cool to be ripped from your family, beaten, and made to kill others just like you? You are incredibly immature. I am a soldier, and I can say with confidence that I don't ever want to see someone like you among my ranks.

  • @Broskyedon Finally a Soldier that understands that these kids had no choice to be a part of an awful lifestyle than just saying that they should all die and be burried.

  • @theclockmace

    you.are.retarded.

real war isnt call of duty dumb fuck

  • @afarakistan i dont play call of duty. My friend serves in the army, and i cant join because of school. therefore i consider these highly unlucky kids...extremely luck

  • @theclockmace luck(y)

  • support SOS Children's Villages International. I was a member of the US Navy and on a ship which attempted to stop Somali pirates-- the majority of these men who we intercepted were, in fact, anywhere from ten to fifteen years old. The SOS Village in Mogadishu is the only international aid for orphans which has not pulled out of the conflict zone, they provide an opprtunity to save these children to avoid picking up guns for food. Please help us.

  • How can someone put a weapon into the hands of an innocent child and train them to kill people? I can't believe this kind of heartless people actually exist.

  • What happened.....this is not right..

  • 52 seconds into the video, if I'm right I think that was a polish resitance in WW2, that was actually needed because they would have been killed slowly and painfully by Nazis instead of just being shot on the battlefield

  • @VympelTrainee I understand you, but the point of the video is, that its wrong to raise kids into soldiers, to teach them how to kill.

  • Actualy song name is Meri(sea) and sings how sea have taken her father and only brother and asks why sea didnt take her, why didnt sea loan this child, drive under to waves...

  • @p2pPower Thanks! It sort of makes sense, in a metaphorical way.

  • Its just sad..Its 2010 are we still so backwards..I thought we would have flying cars by now, but instead we still have children soldiers. What a shame.

  • I am not going to express sadness about lost innocence. Children are as savage as adults, just less able to do harm.

So the worst thing about this to me is that some child soldiers who get experience in fighting and killing will develop a taste for it be a threat to their societies for the rest of their lives.

  • trisoctehedron, I'm going to have to suggest you look into the Stanford Prison Studies and the sociology of roles.

  • I think I got a fine and very direct education in the innate savagery of humans (as particularly expressed in children, who haven't been taught to control it yet) by growing up as a child with odd characteristics in a poor neighborhood.

Have that experience, and no vile things our fellow people do will ever truly surprise you.

  • Well, tris, I'm not saying you don't know what you are talking about by any means. I just thought perhaps you'd be interested in that study in particular because it deals with how personalities develope in re-socialized micro-communities such as prisons, military training camps, nursing homes, mental institutions, and primary school. I don't think I'm surprised so much as willing to say, 'okay, haven't we evolved past this?'.

  • Actually, I will look into the Stanford Prison Studies. Thank you for the ref. I don't see, though, how they can do anything more than describe things that are innate. There is no way to make humanity as a whole become other than human.

Though of course in civilized conditions, or through the power of kindness, individual people can be rescued, including some of these terribly abused children.

  • Fair enough

  • This is an important issue and I am glad you posted this. I put it on my blog. I recently proof read an autobiography of a former special forces soldier captured and tortured by the Khmer Rouge. The worst tortures came from children.

  • ddball1, what you said supports trisoctehedron's comment about children being just as savage as adults, although I would beg to differ slightly on that point. Children are video-recorders with automatic playback, they simply mimic what they see older children and adults doing. It is a proven fact of child psychology and developement that they rely on their elders to help them learn the ways of the world. The way of our world is war, unfortunately.

  • I disagree sunflower, children do not merely mimic and copy .. they absorb and transcend. To give an example, consider the classroom. Some children exceed the teaching, some meet the standard and some don't achieve the standard. Or, consider the observation that children learn how to program tv's and videos better than their parents. In Sydney, I have faced children who have been child soldiers. The experience has changed them.

  • ddball1: Perhaps it is safe to assume that children start at the highest possible level of the influences around them and build off of that, molding their perception of the world based on how these tactics work for them.

  • Yes, I think so. Education works, but the influence of education is much less than that of family or immediate environment. What the child learns from those closest to them is the lessons they will apply later. Children can be taught to be violent, but it is hard to unlearn.

  • I can't even watch this. And we invade countries so we can burn gasoline because we can't pick up a rake or ride a bicycle.

  • Thank you for posting these images. Those of us who live such a comfortable life need to be reminded that many of the world's children have their innocence stolen from them by ruthless governments the U.S. often supports!

    Tom

  • You are welcome, and thank you for being!

  • Incredibly intense.

  • Ah! That means a lot coming from one of my Youtube heroes!

  • Yeah, but when you used to run around playing soldier, were you ass-raped by adult soldiers? Children playing war is just another way that we perpetuate the patriarchal society and our culture of hate...

  • so erudite,and yes we were,but willingly.

  • ya know, when i was a kid we used to run around the neighborhood playing soldier all day long and no one made videos or film and labled us threats to national security.
