  • 6 times in a row already.

  • Love this so much!!

  • So so so beautiful.

  • omg soooo tasty, love the drums especially! and of course davis and adderley.

  • Wow the mix of them playing together is amazing. Miles laid back and cannon pushin it its heca good

  • 43 people have no souls

  • Tum,tum,tum,tum,,,, tratratratratratratraaaaaaa,,, tum,tum,tum, czczczczczczcz,tratratratratatatatatatatatataaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,,,,,,

a liście z drzew spadają, spadają, spadają.

  • Sweet... man.... sweet

  • groseramente hermoso!!!!!!!

  • Amazing. Simply Amazing. The way these two mix together and sound so "cool" in the less modern sense of the word. You can't find cool like that anywhere these days. Being a saxophonist i have an understanding of how difficult it is to mix so well with the rest of the band. these two do it effortlessly and extremely well. Love it.

  • And Autumn Leaves is such a wonderful Jazzstandard!

I've just presented a project about Miles Davis - that just made me like Jazz so much more. The wonderful solos, playing with the scales. And 5:51 - ahh ;)

  • De lo más hermoso que jamás oí.

  • I love the tone Miles sets at the end 10:14. That sound is too cool. Miles davis, my favorite jazz artist all time.

  • por supuesto, es increíble el sonido del final!!!

  • Is this better than game 6?

  • я сказал что счрти должны нас покинуть..

  • вот так

  • This is Youtube, not Youmusic without a video. What's up?

  • @iamanearthlycreature well, there are a lot of vids like this cuz people only have audio recordings and not the videos to go along with it. I personally like it because there are more versions of the music and studio recordings and stuff this way, i usually just do other crap during audio only vids. Have a wonderful day!!!

  • @iamanearthlycreature way better to have this song without a video than to not have this song at all. plus, it's extremely common to have songs without videos on youtube.

  • Miles Davis = Cool as F***

  • Does it mean leaves in a tree or leaves as in goes away?

  • @EliasJordan3 in a tree, original name: "Les Feuilles mortes"

  • @EliasJordan3

    the tree ones

  • @EliasJordan3 think for yourself... Immaturity is the incapacity to use one's intelligence without the guidance of another. - Kant

  • @DiabloPlayer4life i'm not an english speaker so i just want to check. chill bro

  • Tudo perfeito , a qualidade sonora etc.. perfeitas

  • Tudo perfeito

  • The sax solo was the jizoint!!!!

  • i think this is totally coming from heaven ...

  • Jazz music is amazing, you never really understand ...

  • さすが!ジャズの帝王マイルス、今夜も焼酎が旨いことか!

  • @3805abc I agree! I hope...

  • miles is somethin...

    they are the best

  • miles is somethin...

  • never been a deeper pocket

  • I like this

  • deeply sublime

  • At 2:06 Cannonball steps in and sends it on home.

  • Why does this song only have less than 1.5 million views?

  • music is notes. notes are vibrations. and vibrations are energy. we are energy. music is part of us.

  • Mister Adderley and mister Davis, you have done something truly wondrous, people from all over the world are listening to you "autumn leaves", from Serbia to Bolivia, from the US of A to Malaysia. Thank you for this. You are bringing us all together. May you cats rest in peace.

  • Wonderful visuals---and music :-) Thanks.

  • Great stuff, and mixed so well, in alot of recordings from the time, you can't hear the upright bass, it's nice and clear on this one.

  • Beauty......

  • One of my all time favorites, my Mom played jazz all day when I was a little girl and I remember her playing this, when I think of my childhood this song always come to mind, no matter how old it get it always sound good, Miles is just too smooth on this one :)

  • Well, if my opinion can help, I believe that Cannonball plays bebop but the rest plays cool. At that time, The Jazz Messengers and the quintet of Brown-Rollins-Roach were already playing hard-bop. But if you listen at few Rollins solos a couple of years before, he was doing that transition between bebop and hard-bop. Maybe Cannonball was there during his solo. One sure thing for me, the rest of the band was still playing cool but who cares? This is amazing music.

  • That is not Miles Davis. It is Cannonballs brother Nat Adderly on coronet. Nice try though.

  • @MsGuitar100 If that's a cornet I'm a tub of icecream. It's a trumpet with a harmon mute played by Miles Davis and the track comes from the album 'Something Else' - now go wash your ears out.

  • marvelous music !

  • The best thing about this beauty is that it lasts 10 minutes but on the other hand it's one of those "shortest" 10 minutes in music.

  • only one million views wtf

  • @as1m1984 yeah, Justin Bieber gets that on a bad day. What's wrong with people- don't their ears work anymore???

  • @as1m1984

    1,539,367*

  • @as1m1984 now its gonna 2million.i am gonna watch this million times more

  • awesome shit!

    ž

  • good jazz

  • hooooooooooooo! yea!

  • On motherfucking loop. Motherfuckers.

  • is this is a form of bebob?

  • @lolaxian haha

  • @exlaxian No, what these old farts play is a form of bepoop. Now quit tryin' to analize this shit. And don't be assinine and try to crack a joke. The only way to rectify the situation is to visit my channel with regularity. We've got a new video, "Modern Jazz Clinic" that's sure to relieve the pressure, butt we're out of chairs so you'll have to bring your own stool.

  • @number1trumpet wtf stfu. im in jazz history culture. im not trying to crack a joke. i was actually trying to do my jazz history and culture homework. we had to find a music in the form of bebob

  • @lolaxian BeBob ? Seriously ? ...Let's start with the word it self...it is Bebop, be b-o-PPPPPPP

This is posterior to the bebop boom

  • @lolaxian no this isn't bebop. Try Charlie Parker or Dizzy Gillespe

  • @jlhyz2 Está bien, este tema no es bebop, pero ¿para qué dar nombre de otros compositores? si Adderley ¿también interpreta bebop? escucha "limehouse blues - Cannonball adderley Quintet in Chicago"

  • @mathiazhxc I hadn't heard that I'll check that out.

  • Check out this Miles Davis sample!!:

  • @vangobseck

i feel sorry for you. you raise stupid negative emotions while we listen to this beautiful music. learn how to appriciate things you'll never be able to create or undersatnd, you nobody you.

  • @vangobseck i dont get it how someone that listens to jazz ( which involves a certain level of intelligence) can come up with such ignorant statements which dont even relate to the topic.

  • I'm here again, listening to this beautiful song!!! I just love this song soooo much!

  • EXTREMELY GREAT! MILES AND CANNONBALL...MY GOD!

  • @Sol88K And if you listen to jazz, you're already wicked classy to begin with.

  • @Sol88K I love what you just said. Listening to great jazz seems to fire up those special neurons that makes me feel more creative, engaged intellectually and free-flowing.

  • beautiful music isnt going to die on my watch.

  • I fell in love with "Autumn Leaves" a few days ago, prefering the versions of Nat King Cole & Edith Piaf. Then my dad (a huge jazz & Miles Davis Fan) showed me this version and I loved it immediately - so beautiful! :)

  • @SarLei94 You might also see if you can find Bill Evans's version. It's my favorite, although this one is really, really close.

  • @PrimateDaddy Just listened to it, it's great! Thank you! :)

  • @youngestofdeez I think thats prob the most wrong thing you couldv said on every level lol

  • This is one of the most incredible tracks I have ever heard. Great swing. Thanx so much for this amazing post!!!!!!

  • @youngestofdeez spoken as a true jock that lost his girl to a trumpeter/saxophonist.

  • @youngestofdeez hmmm. not sure if serious.

  • @clix089 My heart has been softened and I must come clean here. I troll the shit out of youtube videos (for the lulz... who can blame me) but it seems like here everyone either knew my comment was bullshit or thought it was funny regardless. Looks like lovers of great jazz have true character. You guys have warmed the heart of a cold troll.

  • This is one of the best versions of Autumn Leaves by these two jazz greats...Thanks..

  • magnifique!!!!

  • lol 1337,... views :D

    but to the matter,

    this is amazing o.o

  • this is almost as good as eric clapton's version.

  • @packers56789 , what?

  • 37 Dislikes. Their ears are made of tin and will never know what good music is. I would be grateful as a musician to be able to play half as well as any of these cats. They just happen to be the legends of jazz and recorded in 1958! This music is timeless. Go back to your hip-hop and metal because you will never know.

  • this is toooooooooo goooooooood

  • Man, Cannonball's tone is so perfect. So inviting. Thanks for sharing.

  • I am so happy that my son is turning into jazz...i just asked him if he could possible play "Autumn Leaves"...i know that he will surprise me one day...can't wait for that moment.....(he plays the Guitar....sweet guitar....)

  • @vsouzao he smokes weed too. Why else you think he likes jazz?

  • ahh in a world thats full of garbage, nerve racking music it's so nice to still be able to find some nice calm soothing music like this B)

  • I'm so happy that this was the first video that came up when I searched "Autumn Leaves." I now have faith in humanity again.

  • Nice one keep it up :D !

  • cannonball goes into a new universe then comes back wit a message

  • Wow, this is just so phenomenal...

  • 33 dislikes? what the hell is wrong with people!?!?!?!?!?

  • @TheBluesAndJazz - People themselves. It happens with some of them...

  • @TheBluesAndJazz 37 people... too early for jazz!

  • @TheBluesAndJazz I was just about to say the same darn thing!

  • @TheBluesAndJazz aw cmon ^^ the red part isnt even visible :P

  • @TheBluesAndJazz Seriously! my thoughts exactly.

  • @TheBluesAndJazz i blame the media

  • @TheBluesAndJazz

Well a small percentage of the population is mentally retarded, can't blame them.

  • I've always been exposed to jazz, I don't think my grandfather ever changed the dial on his car radio, when he took me home every day up until 3rd grade. I'm just starting to get into it myself, and loving every minute of it. Absolutely love Cannonball, so smooth.

  • Jazz will live on forever.

  • @smartified good jazz, yes but a lot of avantgard stuff turns me off, undigestable.

  • bought this album new, played it until it was nearly worn-out, then my garrard turn-table died and couldn't find a replacement; sold album to a collector in 2001; cover was still in good shape but the vinyl sound had lost some its original quality.

    what a classic!!

  • the boss in the house Miles so carzy so genius

  • This joint is truly hott listen to the way that they meld and blend..

  • Lovely playing.TY rovingeye2 for posting.

  • Impresionante, esta melodia es Excelente en cualquier instrumento

  • the greatest ever !

  • Self-controlled, Cut free from desire, Curbing the heart, Man finds Nirvana.

  • Miles sets this off so nice!

  • Guitarman63mm, sorry you are doing just that, putting a young guy down, there's nothing wrong with workshops. To analyse a recording is not what they were made for. They are made to enjoy.

To all young people trying to master their instrument and play jazz and comp, do not listen to this sort of advice just do what is best for you. If you develop your ears you will know when you are playing well or not.

Do not ever stop playing I did for 40 years and it is the biggest mistake I made.

  • The strongest desire known to human life is to continue living. The next strongest is to use the instruments by which life is generated for its own rewards, not for the sake of generation. The third potent desire is to excel and to be acknowledged.

  • is it me or did cannon ball just jizz through his saxaphone and into my pants?

  • 本当に素晴らしい!!

  • 31 dislikes :

    Eminem fans.... LOL

  • @jmillerz5555 hey hey i like eminem and im lovin this.... but youre right people wwho dont like jazz dont know music..

  • @jmillerz5555 Could you post that elsewhere ?

  • 16 yr Tenor Sax player, 5 years.

    absolutely love this.

    Jazz can never die

  • God's messengers. True.

    Miles Lives !

  • I am not normally one to type long, stupid comments saying things about how jazz isn't dead and such, but jazz is alive and thriving. There are several things showing jazz is still here. Summer jazz workshops such as Jamey Aebersold's show the fun and greatness of jazz to young musicians. I am attending and I am 14. I'm living proof that jazz is still here.

  • @HeyImJonah Not to shover you into the ground here, but attending a 'workshop' doesn't exactly show passion or greatness. Your time and money would be better spent analyzing this recording here and understanding the phrasing and application of certain statements over the changes.

This is one of the seminal recordings in jazz, and there is a lot to learn from it itself. Telling me you're fourteen and going to a workshop just tells me that you're missing the point.

  • Miles is playong the song.

    Cannonball is just improvising
