Think it was because the original father wasn't a good father and didn't spend time with his kid. Different circumstances. If your father is present it makes a difference, if you have a father that never visits then you would feel like you didn't have one and maybe it would be nice to be adopted.

Based on the evidence of the interview with both him and Harvey's dad.
I thought it was a bit rich that Peter Andre wants to adopot Harvey and then says it is the right thing to do and then gets upset and ratty when Kate Burley askes him how he would feel if Alex Reid wanted to adopt his kids - emmm a bit of double standards I think.

@northdownpine its NOT double standards peters story is totally different if someone wanted to adopt his kids and he was a bad father who never seen his children then yeah it would be double standards because that's what Harvey's dad is like but peter loves his kids and see's them all the time so there is no need for somebody to adopt them. As for Harvey he didn't really need a dad and by adopting him would give him a stable male role model which makes it a good thing.

I am glad that she said what she did. I like Peter, and when they did that to him in that interview was so wrong. I'm glad Katie calls him a great father to Harvey, because he seems to love that little boy with all his heart.
