I'm not sure (Just to take a guess) but I think the reason it never worked was possibly because she beat it with a hammer.

the lg neon really is a piece of garbage. eventually it decides to turn itself off in the middle of conversations and texts. it takes over a minute to restart when it happens.

@erichau728 That may be so but there was no way it could be that simple. I got a $50 credit with my new neon. The credit locked the sim card to my phone for six months. The six months had passed & the sim card should have auto-unlocked. When the neon wouldn't turn on, I borrowed a cheapy and switched the card. Authorization failed. AT&T said the sim card needed to be brought in or I would need to buy a new one even tho it wasn't my fault. Closest AT&T store? 1 1/2 hours away.

@erichau728 My options were 1) Drive 3 hours round trip to get the sim card unlocked which is not viable because I operate a home biz and I'm a single parent of 2 teenagers...OR 2) I could send my neon in and go without service for 2-3 weeks which is impossible since I don't have a home phone and used the phone as my primary phone OR 3) I could have bought a new phone... Considering my AT&T service went out randomly I chose #3. I bought a new Straight Talk phone. LOVE IT. Screw Neon and AT&T.
