I was 8 when this game was played. I was so excited. As a Scot, looking back on it now, it's all a bit of a disappointment. England were effectively down 1 man for a good part of the match due to Jack Charlton's injury. The other thing to notice is how slow the pace was. Players like Baxter (who didn't have a great match) had all the time in the world to show off their skills. Nowadays they'd have players biting at their heels non stop. This is slow motion football and is hard to watch....
Great match, and debuts for Simpson and McCalliog to match. Strange at the end to see both teams line up for the anthem. This was the beginning of the greatest six weeks in Scottish football history, with half the team going on to be amongst the Lisbon Lions of Celtic that beat Inter Milan in the European Cup Final. Sad to see what's happened to Scottish football, rather like American heavyweight boxing they just don't seem to produce the individual players anymore.

May I recommend the book 'The Home Internationals, 1946-1984, A Complete Record by the King of Trivia'.
