  • the people teaching on expert village are robots!

  • omg no wonder ppl prefer to teach themselves

  • Nice! BTW – you can learn to play this song in half the time with new gadget that reads MIDI files.

    Google “Gizmag and PianoMaestro”

  • Dear God, never learn to play music using Expert Village.

I swear, every single video I have viewed by them, pertaining to music, has been either badly demonstrated or it was just plain wrong.

  • I have no idea what u guys are talking about, this actually helped me.

  • ... Hmmm, nope. I am no wiser than I was 2:53mins ago when the video started.

  • zzzzzzzz... what exactly she is talking about? althought you are experts doesnt mean you could teach effectively!!! Cant even understand what is she talked about!

  • I agree. The only people who could follow this are those who already get what intervals are.

  • i totally agree!

  • i dont understand

  • You make simple things way too complicated like when your counting the 2nds,3rds and the other numbers why can't you just count the white keys instead of including the black keys,it would make more sense.

  • wtf is she talking about???

  • Your Bob Crack is showing

  • i still cant understand ahhhhhh i hate piano lolz joke

  • fafetia is how we say it in mah country ha l.o.l.

  • Very good job helped me in my exam. But lol 70700 VIDEOS!

  • I dont think it was wise of her to use the accidentals to count the intervals. For some it's confusing. To answer some questions, you need to be aware of the scale in which you're counting the interval to get the interval. So for like for a C Major 3rd, though C#, and D# are between the interval, these keys are not native notes in the C major scale hence the name accidentals. So the only notes of concern are C, D, and E. C to E is your major Third.

  • I'm just learning this, so when it comes to counting the intervals are they to be counted as from start including the beginning note and the ending note, as in for example, the C and E, interval counts 3 or 4? Because to be accurate, I would just undersatnd it easier to keep in mind that the intervals have to be what's inbetween the notes, unless in this case with piano, does it have to include both ends of the notes?

  • 0 usually never comes up when talking about theory. So in this case, C is 1 and E is 4. Its easier to keep track of things if you don't use 0's.

  • Why is it that the first intervals perfect 3 and perfect 4 actually have a count of one extra but perfect 5 interval have a count of 7 instead of six, perfect 6 have a count of 9 instead of 7, and perfect 7 have a count of 11 instead of 8? also what about the first two, Perfect 1 and perfect 2, sorry if that sounds weird I just started learning how to read sheet music so I'm new at this.

  • Because the math is based off the C scale. When you change the scale the math stays the same so you have to sometimes use black notes as well.

  • Not weird. I had the same question after watching this.

  • I just learning.. but correct me if I'm wrong.. Aren't the intervals the note in the scale of the root note ? ie.. In C E would be a third interval.. F a 4th and so on...

  • That's correct. I found this way of counting each semitone, not confusing, but rather inconvenient.
