i had an original full floppy set of windows 3.11 up until recently when the disks started corrupting because they were old and had been used too much.. luckily i imaged all the floppies ages before. i adore windows 3.1 i've got it running mp3's and displaying 64k color on a machine. windows 95 onward just don't keep me as entertained as w3.1 :)

Since the last time I posted a comment here, I have setup another old machine on the internet with broadband on Win 3.11. However, it is DOS that is the star of the show. Running the internet on broadband with DOS is a different matter. Yet, it works and works surprisingly effeciently. I have used DOSLYNX, Arachne, LYNX 2.8.5, IRC chat, Trumpet Newsreader, DOSGopher and even Email with good old DOS! There's even a new version of DOSLYNX for 2010! Old stuff is fun to tinker with and make cool!

I'm 22 and I'm not even old enough to have bought a copy, the problem being I was about 4 when 3.1 came out. To have bought a copy of windows you would need to be, at a guess, 15 or over, to have enough income anyway. Either you didnt buy that copy, or you're a lot older than you say you are.
