@fachy1981 WRONG junior. First of all, the 737 is the most popular, and most produced modern jetliner of ALL TIME. Of COURSE it will have a higher loss rate (Nowhere near 5900, just Wiki it) And remember, they have been flying since 1969! 20 years LONGER than the a320. Also they have been flown into the GROUND by third world maintenance and pilots for much of that time. You can't deny the 747 either. For MY money, given the choice between NEW airframes, I take the 73 ANY DAY over the scarebus.

@okeagle25 Boeing is now 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use the 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the near future and it seems that A380 is the more popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivative. They want a completely new airliner.

Now with the delays of 787, it seems A350 will enter the market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.

The 757 is old first flew in 1982 ,and there are thousands still operating ,and not going to be retired anytime soon . And of course i can't forget of the 767 , and instead of retiring them they're adding brand new winglets to the fleet.
