@fachy1981 Thank god I'm never planning on flying Scarebus ever again. Boeing all the way. And ask the 777 what it thinks of the best engines ever put on a plane...GE
@fachy1981 WRONG junior. First of all, the 737 is the most popular, and most produced modern jetliner of ALL TIME. Of COURSE it will have a higher loss rate (Nowhere near 5900, just Wiki it) And remember, they have been flying since 1969! 20 years LONGER than the a320. Also they have been flown into the GROUND by third world maintenance and pilots for much of that time. You can't deny the 747 either. For MY money, given the choice between NEW airframes, I take the 73 ANY DAY over the scarebus.
@okeagle25 Boeing is now 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use the 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the near future and it seems that A380 is the more popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivative. They want a completely new airliner.
Now with the delays of 787, it seems A350 will enter the market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.
@CostPlusTulsa you loss... you wont experience the quitest and most comfortable cabin ever made till date... B and A are great companies and make great planes... kind of silly to snub one just of principle and ignore that the a380 is indeed a technical marvel.
I believe you misunderstood me so ill repeat ,made some of the greatest airliners of all time .
Some of the Greatest airliners of all time beginning with the fantastic 707 beauty of the skies , now we move to the 737 , lets walk along to the 727, and the 747. The 757 is old first flew in 1982 ,and there are thousands still operating ,and not going to be retired anytime soon . And of course i can't forget of the 767 , and instead of retiring them they're adding brand new winglets to the fleet.
xD Amen to that. Shame she doesn't fly anymore. God Bless Concorde!!!
Anyway, I respect this a/c simply because it dare challenges the juggernaut that is the B747 and in my book goes above and beyond expectations. As far as favorites go, its a coin flip. They both perform their duties as they should so there's really none better than the other.
That video is double awesome: first, it's the A380, and second, it's quite a nice crosswind landing. Probably one of the first done with that plane, I wonder how the pilots felt :)
awesome.... Im flying out on SQ 2200hrs in early June from LHR, where is best for my family to park up and watch me leave? How do I find out which direction we will depart, and where is the best place it can be viewed? Security is understandably so tight these days no viewing areas are available. Can anyone help me please???
Her wingspan is about the length of a footbal field!!! My Uncle worked closely on the A380 project at Honewell Inc., so he tells us stories about her. I'm looking forward to seeing it fly into Toronto starting in June :D
It is by a few meters. A346 is the longest. AN-225 is the largest freight plane in the world, and the A380 is renowned for being the largest commercial airliner as of today. And I hate people -1 me for facts, it always happens!
yeah, in 10 years when that is released LOL, the 787 hasn't even gotten off the ground yet. The 777 freighter is way way behind schedule and the recent strike at Boeing hit Boeing hard
XD!i have to sadly aggre with you.but dude think about it..787..the more testing on ground it gets..the more live will be saved from disasters that WILL come..

@CostPlusTulsa Which´s the BEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 5900 Casualties.
Which´s the FASTEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 2,5 casualties per month.
There you have Boeing beating the competition...The Best and the Fastest all at ONCE.

you mean 'windshear' - and no there isn't any here - only crosswind which is quite normal.

No windshear in this video at all, this is a simple crosswind, might be a problem if aircraft weren't fitted with rudders but alas they are.
