.....'the hell....."I keep myself in shape, I keep myself fit, don't offer me a stimulant I'm having none of it! That's only for the weak guys, not the likes of me. Give me nothing stronger than herbal tea!" lol, you know the 90's had such a huge insurgence of drug use in America when the SMURFS are promoting against it
i was lookin for smurfs songs for years b4 youtube on shitty mp3 download programs like napster n all tehj rest i never found any but stopped lookin amd simce the ,pvie came out it reminded me of some of the songs. Used to love these little badd guys!
My little brother had this tape!!! For some reason I've been singing "I bet you cant eat a hundred slices of bread" for the last few days so i had to look up the song!
I gotta come clean and admit that my only claim to fame in life is that I created the playlist for the Smurfs Go Pop album. If you 'sad' enough to own the album then check out the thanks to me 'Jason' on the inlay.
So yes, you can all blame me in part for this album.
The lead singer of the smurfs worked as the Civilian Relations Office at RAF Linton on Ouse just North of York and my office was in the same building and one day he fessed up that he was making the album. this is true
@jcarr437 i don't know whether to thank or curse you! a few years back i gave this to a friend for her birthday sleepover, suffice to say, for the next 3 days we were all woken up by the smurfs being blasted on the hi fi (which was then left on repeat for the rest of the morning). she loved the present... nobody else did! must be 5 years later and i still remember the entirety of the album, ahah.
The lyrics are quite deep for a children's song in places- that part about a stimulant. I only understood that part years after I got the album, when I was listening to it once for old times' sake.
Oh gosh this takes me back. I'm in hysterics!
