  • SDA Claim that Jesus did not break the sabbath. Explain this:

    Mark 2:23-27

23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? 25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

  • Then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

    Luke 23:55-56

I will be more then obedient I will not interpret anything let the bible interpret itself

Just respecting the wishes of the author of this video.

  • If you properly divide the word of truth you will find that paul said that even the doctrine of christ (e.g. baptisms) were of dead works. The baptism is a shadow of something to come. Just as the sabbath is a practice which represent the shadow of the coming eternal rest of Christ. There's nothing wrong with engaging in these works, and such works are meant to bring you closer to YHWH. Further, saturday is no worst than sunday for a day of worship. The original sabbath was based on the moon.

  • I love Sabbath with my family. Most people watch tv when their eat and their children are no way to be found. sabbath is forever. It is our communion and HE said to Remember it.

  • Ok first off to understand this passage we need to understand the people in this they were asking for this becuase the sabbath was burdensom for them. It was more important for them to be able to market than to worry about the sanctity of God

  • The shabbat(sabbath) is the 4rth commandment, why would HaShem do away with one commandment and leave the rest, Yeshua said "dont think I came to abolish the law or the prophets, but I came to fulfill....All the disciples kept the Saturday Shabbat, read in (Matthew 24:20) how Yeshua said "pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day"......Watch my playlist and learn the difference between ceremonial sabbaths and Thee Sabbath

  • @YAHSHUAisLORD1 Wrong on all accounts. Why not study the Bible rather than just reading it for a change. Then there is no two part covenant with ceremonial laws and moral laws. It is all the same except in the minds of unlearned people.

  • @YAHSHUAisLORD1 Romans 14:5

King James Version (KJV) 5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

  • Because the people did not keep HIS feasts and Sabbaths the way they should, HE judge them you will see Yahuwah say i will turn THEIR feasts. But HE talks about HIS feasts in Lev.23. So they are not keeping YAH's feasts as they should. You err by thinking YAH will ever change Mal.3:6 say HE NEVER changes. Matt.24:20.

  • ThankYou Lord for discernment...davidmichaelrose8 & bingolly1 aren't 2 but 1..haha talking to himself

  • Thank you very much for bringing Amos 8:4-10 to the forefront. I knew of this passage and how it confirmed your other videos. I wish we could discuss this further over a cup of coffee! God Bless You, Dave

  • It just so happens that I am a coffee drinker:)

  • bingollyHeb4:1-11 v9says there remains a rest for the people of God.this verse tells us that there is a day of rest.10for he who has enterd His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.this vs tels us we must rest same day God didwhich day? genesis2:2 seventh day v11let us be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.this verse tells us to diligently enter Gods rest in obedience to Gods Law.Heb 8:10im a newcovenant christian

  • @Bingolly1 That sounds like a trick question about finding a verse for the sabbath to be renewed b/c first it would have to end in the first place. Ex 31:12-17 says the sabbath is FOREVER a sign between him and Israel so that being in place how can I find a verse saying it's no longer true. I would say the burden of proof is on you. Do you have a verse showing any disciples keeping the 1st day continuously and teaching that to the people?

  • What were the 9 moral commandments renewed and never the OT Sabbath? No trick question just give me a verse that shows the OT Sabbath renewed. The Old Covenant ended and the OT Sabbath was part of that covenant.

  • The sermon on the mount, if that is what you are referring to does not speak on what day of the week we should worship on. In Matt 5:17-18 says the law will not change... till all is full filled. If you want me to assume that means the 1st day of the week is the new sabbath then I will need more proof.

Consider Isa 56:6,7 It basically says anyone who loves the Lord and keeps the sabbath he will bring to his holy mountain. When salvation is offered to "anyone" only the new covenant can do that.

  • Bingolly1 - I read your comments at the end of the Video about not posting a verse unless you explain your views.I think that is a Great Idea and only a fair request. The greatest trouble that I've seen among many so called christians today is taking a verse out of context and trying to build a doctrine out of a verse thats maybe symbolic or speaking to a certain people (Such as the Jews, under the law) Also Interpretation is the key to understanding the scriptures through leadership of The Spirit

  • @mykidsdad36 Thanks for the comment and GB

  • Thank you -- Best evidence ever!

  • sorry friend to bother you. Read all of Amos 8 from the beggining and you will see that line 5, Amos is repeating what the offending Isrealites say. Pray that the truth may be revealed to you. Amos 8 does not give indication of the sabbath ending.

  • The ten commandments was not a good enough reason to me so after researching, I discovered thorough God's help that in the old covernment the Isrealites sacrificed sheep etc to symbolize Jesus Christ however, when He died on the cross the old law was done with. No more are the days for us to sacrifice lambs for forgiveness that old covernment was done with, now we pray straight to God 2 Jesus. The old and new covernment has nothing to do with the day we worship but how we worship. hope it helps.

  • Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19

  • kalamata777, please interpret those verses for me. Thanks

  • And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

  • kalamata777 no more of your comments will be posted until you answer my question.

  • Exo 31:13 Speak also to the sons of Israel, saying, Truly you shall keep My sabbaths. For it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies you.

Sanctified through Yehshua = new testament sign also.

The false Friday crucifixion and Sunday

Resurrection is disproved by scripture if you count the sign of John and the events of the fest of Passover recorded.

Don't follow the traditions of men and forsake the commandment of Elohim.

  • Oh boy another person who thinks they know God's word. Oh well.

  • this was extremely helpful. thank you so much, you explained it with the bible and theres no arguing with that

  • Maybe lets just pray on both days? Saturday AND Sunday?! Why so many arguing about something what is so simple? Live your lives and pray and be clear and good in your heart and mind, love people who surround you and you'll be happy! :)

  • When the 4-inch curtain in the Temple was ripped in two, it was a symbolic ending of the Old Covenant, and the beginning of the New. Sabbath belonged to the OC - a day of worship for the recently freed slaves of Eygpt.

In the NC, the only slaves are those to sin. And the way to free sinners is through the Lord Jesus Christ.

When you are free from sin, you rise from the dead.

The Day of Resurrection then, becomes the day of worship.

  • those scriptures in Matt 28 Mark 24 Luje 22 and John 20 are talking about the mournig after the sabbath not the new day to worship did someone teach you that

  • I suggest you stop looking through the eyes on ignorance and learn the Bible. I will not allow you to clutter up my comment section with ignorance. Thanks

  • Is there a reason why you do not respond? Did you find any Scriptures to support how the Sabbath is done away?

  • Matthew 28:1 Mark 16:1 ff Luke 24:1 John 20:1 and Luke 22:20. Is there some reason you want to hold people to an abolished covenant? Now give me one verse in the NT that shows the Old Testament Sabbath was renewed after it ended in those verses. Is there a reason you cannot give me a verse where the OT Sabbath was renewed? Thanks

  • @Bingolly1 Isnt MAtthew the !st book in the NT and doesn't the other follow in pursuit? Im just one seeking knowledge and I find this video very controversial. I think facys are facts ... the bible is black and white no gray shaded area..

  • By the way, the Sabbath is not to be renewed, but a perpetual sign between His people, creation was complete by the act of resting. Now you must show me one Scripture that says it has been done away with!

  • I think you have very little Bible understanding. So worship when you want to. Good Night

  • I have only read 8 Scriptures reffering to the first day of the week and I can not make a contextual doctrine with them. There are very many Scriptures showing Yahshua and the disciples keeping the Sabbath, also the Apostle Paul did later on. Is ther any Scripture that tells Christians to forget it?

  • Yes! Now show me one verse of scripture that says the OT Sabbath was renewed. All of the others were renewed but never the sabbath. Pls give me just one verse that says the OT Sabbath was renewed.

  • I have been researching this matter. I am not a SDA and certainly not a religious person. I started reading the Scriptures and I never saw anything authorizing the change from Sabbath to Sunday. Can you help?

  • Yes. Just watch my videos on the Sabbath and you will see. Thanks

  • @uwjco You would have to go back in history and study constantine 321 ad.. This is where the change came from. It is not mentioned in the bible.. You will not find it

  • How do I get to it?

  • Click on the link on my profile page. It will carry you to it. Thanks

  • I can't see it

  • What is your website? I'd like to see it.

  • I do not have a website. Thanks I have a blog and it is on my profile page.

  • Great video. Dont get me wrong some adventists are really messed up. (about if you worship on sunday you wont get to heaven) but its all about a relationship with Jesus. BTW if you actually want to see where adventists still believe the Sabbath to be in existent go to my site...there are 3 different videos adressing this.

    God bless

  • the fact that you would delete someone's comment shows that you are close-minded and on your own agenda not God's

  • Your lying just got you blocked as well. Dabate me or shut up. These silly little games are for SDA kids.

  • I have decided to stop watching any of your videos because you have closed your mind to the sabbath truth. Jesus said he came to fulfil the law not abolish it and that means any of it. This scripture refutes any commandment being abolished. Not one jot not one tittle! Why can't you see that and stop twisting scripture to fit YOUR belief.

  • Thank you. Just one less person I will have to explain the same things to over and over.

  • Sabbath was the day of worship for the recently released slaved of Egypt, part of the OC. In the NC, slaves are to sin. To be free from sin is to 'rise from the dead'.This is why the day of Resurrection of the Lord became the new day of worship.

  • @QueueJT I've been asking but know one knows where it says that in the bible. Could you show me where God wants us to worship on Sunday?

  • Can you show me where the OT Sabbath was ever renewed. You have over 7,000 NT verses so just give me one verse. If you can't do that then you have your answer.

  • We might consider that the Sabbath is one the Ten Commandments!

And the new Covenant is all about Jesus. If he wanted that we rest on another day, he would do it...

I am not as active in religion as I supposed to be... and I don't debate as theological correct as you.

Though I can say, that it is common sense, that we don't change the day, because of some vague phrases.

I only don't really know, how important it is to rest on the sabbath or any day... Time will tell..

  • The New Covenant is NOT all about "Jesus" He is the testator! Jeremiah 31:31 says that the new Covenant is with the house of Israel and with the house of Juda! Hebrews 8 corroborates to this, and Galatians 3:29 expands it even more!

  • The New Covenant is all about Jesus. It is not about a day of the week. I can't believe anyone would say that.

  • I am actually not sure, what your intends are here; Sorry to say that, but it seems like a hidden agenda here...

You clearly misinterpreted several cites from the bible. But the most important note you need to understand is: if you believe in Jesus Christ, you would believe that he would abolished the sabbath himself in life time, when he wanted that we supposed to do that!

But oppose to that he also solemnized the sabbath! How much more proof do you need to get?

  • The cross was proof enough but you just go ahead and cling yo the Old Covenant. I choose the new. If a hidden agenda is to reveal the practices and teachings of a cult then so be it.

  • OK I have a problem with your second to last comment. You said that Christ is the end of the law, yet you turn around in the same comment, only 5 words later, and say that He did not destroy the law, but that He perfected it! Those 2 statements contradict each other! If He perfected the law then it is NOT abolished. To improve on something means that you take what is already there, and build on it, or ADD to it, to change it for the better; NOT to abolish it. Look it up in the dictionary.

  • No contradiction just your lack of understanding about the word law and what Jesus abolished. Thanks

  • Rather than throwing scripture after scripture at you, I plead with you instead - check the doctrines you are preaching. Your salvation and the salvation of others depends on it.

    yours in Christ,

    SVF.

  • SVF, The video shows prophecy from the bible, this is not my prophecy it is Gods prophecy spoken through his prophets about the Old Covenant Sabbath. If you think that it is wrong then say why you believe it is wrong.

  • Hi, I'm currently studying on my own, and I've been looking at all the different arguments, bot pro and "against" observing the 7th day Sabbath. What I would like to comment is that you seem to have spent a lot of time studying this subject. But have you ever thought about what the continuation of Amos 8:5 (the part that you didn't underline) would indicate? It would according to your reasoning imply, that the 9th commandment (false witness) is also abolished! Do you see my point??

    READ IT ALL

  • No you are claiming that is my logic. All the moral laws were fulfilled and perfected by Jesus Christ, read the Sermon on the Mount, no where doe he tell us to keep the old sabbath or instructions for it under a New Covenant. Show me a verse in the New Testament that says we are to keep the Old Covenant Sabbath given to the children of Israel in there Generations? See the list of holy days in Lev 23 the old sabbath is one of them, where is the commandment to keep these?

  • So if Jesus "perfected" the laws, that would according to my understanding suggest, that they weren't perfect! I don't think I could agree with that! As I told you I'm studying, so I'm guessing your knowledge of the Bible is much better than mine. But I find verses like; Mark 2:27-28 , Matthew 24:20 & Acts 16:13 they all seem to suggest that the Sabbath is something important to Jesus, that was going to be observed after his death and that it was observed by the early Christians...

  • You make a lot of assumptions. He fulfilled the law by keeping it, he did not break it. He also fulfilled it by perfecting it. Was this man perfect for keeping the law? Matthew 19:16-21 what did Jesus tell him to do to be perfect? We have received a better testimony, if the first had been perfect there would be no need for a second Hebrews 8:7-13.

  • Jesus is the end of the law Romans 10:4 and he re-gave the moral commandments perfecting them to a higher morality, to think murder is to murder, to lust in your heart is already adultery, etc. He took it beyond the letter as you read the sermon on the mount, just keeping the old law is not good enough, he expects more from us.

  • Sabbath means rest, not saturday. We rest in Christ now. God said the sabbaths would end Hosea 2:11, Isaiah 1:12-14, he promised a new covenant Jeremiah 31:31-36. Whatever day we give it to God Romans 14:4-6. The bible is to be understood as a whole, not just bits a verses here and there. Reading a verse here and a verse there is like reading instructions and leaving important steps out of it, you don't end up with the complete picture until you read to understand God's entire salvation plan.

  • I totally agree with you that we need to look at the whole picture in order to have a clear view, but I would say that the assumptions are made by those that go against the 4th commandment. When you refer to Romans 10:4, it seems that you have forgotten Romans 3:31. Further you Romans 14:4-6 is taken out of context in order to support the idea of it talking about the 7th day Sabbath. I'm afraid you are taking these verses as well as Hosea and Amos out of their context & read selected parts only!

  • How is it going against the forth commandment, to stop, rest and give worship to God on Sunday, or everyday instead of Saturday. Sabbath doesn't me saturday. The spirit of the Law is that I work six days, stop and worship the Lord. I didn't forget Romans 3:31, is the law destroyed through faith? No, and neither did Christ as I explained he perfected and expects more from us than the letter of the law. Even so all the laws and the prophets rest on this Matthew 22:36-40.

  • You also do not get to judge what day I worship the Lord, as that is what Romans 14:4-6 means, and Colossians 2:16. I don't care what day people worship on, but if they are saying others are changing the law or violating the forth commandment of claiming it is the mark of the beast they are wrong for all the reasons I mentioned with scripture to support it. Just because you can't accept it doesn't mean it makes you right.

  • I agree..."Just because you can't accept it doesn't mean it makes you right." I guess that goes for all of us!

I rather enjoyed this small discussion. By the way, in your video you make a reference to how many times the other 9 commandments are mentioned in the New Testament. The 3rd is, according to the information given, found 4 times in the New Testament. I'd like to ask you which those verses are.

    Thank you!

  • Enjoyed it too, It would refer to saying the Lord's name in vain, or speaking in a profane way. Ephesians 4:29, Ephesians 5:4, Matthew 15:11, Colossians 3:8. And really all of James 3 speaks of profanity. God bless

  • I'm not looking to convert you or change your ideas, it would take much more study to do that. But I do wish, for your own sake, that you do some more research on the subject. I used to be an evolutionist & atheist only a year ago. And one day I realized that my conviction in things were blinding me to the truth. Today, I'm studying and taking into account the reasons for belief of many churches. Comparing it all to the Bible searching for the truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God.

  • You are saying you need much more studying, yet wish I would do more research. Please see my profile. I didn't just pick up the bible and start reading it yesterday, I have spent my life studying it. It is good that you study, and I am glad that you have moved away from atheism, I know many people who have. God bless you in your studies.

  • What is more you talk about the New Covenant as if it wasn't perfect on both part of God as well as the Israelites. After all the need of a new covenant came due to the broken promise on behalf of the people, not Jehovah.

The new covenant is based on a better promise (Heb. 8:6) not on better commands! The fulfilment of the law, is not equal to the abolishment of the same. Why is it that James 2:17 refers to faith without works to the Law as dead? How could he refer to a Law which is abolished?

  • Christ is the end of the law, did you read that verse, yet he did not destroy the law, he perfect it. You don't think it is perfected when he expects more from us, beyond the letter not to think murder and lust, etc.

You also mis-qoute James. He said, "So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead." He is not speaking of the law and the law is not mentioned. He is speaking that by our faith we do good works. Good works is not the same as the law.

  • This verse speaks of works of the law, in which no one is justified by it.

Paul says, "Romans 3:20 Because by the [works of the law] no flesh shall be justified before him. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.

  • Hi there, I'm pleased that you are taking a stance at this subject, I'm wondering if you have ever heard of Rome's challenge to the Protestant's. One more thing the meaning of this verse is very clear and needs no explanation and nothing you could twist could change it Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

    Happy Sabbath

  • Sorry for delay in responding. YES, I have a video up on the Roman Challenge and many other things that have been wrongly used against the Catholic Church. Many Protestants are good at misplacing the facts.

  • Your video says abolished, abolished, abolished but it was spoken by Jesus: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." (Matt 5:16-18) At the very least you seem to be calling Jesus a liar.

  • He abolished the old covenant which was given to the children of Israel for their generations, I told you this on one post already. We have the New Covenant Matthew 26:28 and with it came the perfected fulfilled moral commandments. See 5:59 of the video. Jesus speaks of all the commandments, but never gives us a command to keep the old covenant sabbath for Israel's generations.

  • He ended the old covenant and perfected the law. See his Sermon on the Mount giving us the true meaning of sin, which in to even think to transgress against each other or the Lord. This is the spirit of the law written on our hearts our conscience bearing witness to them Romans 2:15, For the end of the law is Christ, Romans 10:4, He is our rest Matthew 11:29. The Old nailed to the cross Galatians 2:19 & Colossians 2:14.

  • He is no liar, he said he did not come to destroy the law but fulfill it and he did. God made it clear in Ex 31 the sabbath was Israel's covenant. The law re-given again by God to us through Christ, not Moses, He perfected them showing us the true will of God, our conscience should bear witness to them and we know them in our hearts. If we think to murder we have already murdered in in our hearts, sin is more than just a physical act to breaks Gods law.

  • Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. 38 This is the greatest and the first commandment. 39 And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 [On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.]

  • Galatians 5:14

For all the law is fulfilled in one word: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

James 2:8 If then you fulfill the royal law, according to the scriptures, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; you do well.

Now it is up to you to believe as you do by your teachers instead of Christ. You can call me a liar and call Jesus a liar too, it's all your choice to believe the New Testament or not.

  • I know that the question of which law did Christ abolish at the cross is a bit difficult for those claiming that the Ten commandments are obsolete. Because it's hard to gather the ridiculous explanation of how the Ten Commandments would now be called the Nine Commandments. Praise God for His word!! When we study to show ourselves approve unto God, we can shun all vain and profain babbling.

  • I know it is difficult for you to understand God's New Covenant. All the Laws of Moses with his regulations have been abolished [Eph. 2:14, 15; Col. 2:14]), The burden is on Sabbath keepers to prove that Jesus and His apostles continued to interpret the Sabbath commandment according to its Judaistic letter, in which there is no command to keep it. Although evidence points to the fact that the Apostles choose the day of His resurrection to keep as a day of worship.

  • Anyone can see in New Testament every other commandment of the Decalogue is amplified and reapplied to the Christian life and re-given to us by Christ who is God many times throughout the New Testament. However the Jewish ceremonial law of sabbath keeping is new re-given to us by Christ or the Apostles. God's salvation plan gave us a far greater deliverance through Christ than just out of Egypt.

  • So you mean all those scriptures regarding the keeping of the law in the new testament is referring to both the Ten commandments and the 613 laws? So which Laws did Christ end at the cross?

  • That's what the bible says, all the law. It was fulfilled and ended.

Fulfilled: Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Ended: Romans 10:4 For the end of the law is Christ, unto justice to every one that believeth.

We are justified by Christ not the law, Galatians 2:16

  • If we should remember Christ death through a day it would not be on Sunday, because Christ died on a Friday. (John 19:30,31).

  • We remember his resurrection the promise of everlasting life, he is the first fruit of the resurrected. 1 Cor 15:21-23 For by a man came death, and by a man the resurrection of the dead. 22 And as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. But every one in his own order: the firstfruits Christ, then they that are of Christ, who have believed in his coming.

  • 1 Cor 15:21-23 is speaking in reference to the resurrection of Christ and the saints that will follow at His second coming. Did Christ not take the penalty of sin which we deserve? Did He not die in our place? So His death for us is important in that Christ freed us from the penalty of sin.(Romans 6:21-23). So why don't you honor His death by keeping Friday holy?

  • The promise was not that we die, the promise is eternal life and he is the firstfruit. Did you not read my post above. Then you answer a question with more questions, didn't you complain I did this? Until you tell me your religious affiliation and answer some of my questions the discussion is finished.

  • The sabbath is reaffirmed in the New Testament just as all the other commandments. (Mark2:27,28, Hebrews 4:4, and Luke 23:50-56, shows even Christ love ones continued keeping the Sabbath day ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDMENTS, AFTER His death). And all the proofs of the disciples keeping the Sabbath that I posted you failed to post. Amen.

  • "And all the proofs of the disciples keeping the Sabbath that I posted you failed to post."

Did it occur to you that I couldn't even post on my own channel for a week and their are glitches in youtube all the time, instead you accuse me of not posting them, which is a lie, I have posted all of your comments for two or three days now. So since you want to lie and accuse the conversation is definitely over.

  • The Bible says in Matthew 7:16, " Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thornes, or figs of thisles?" I follow in the examples that Christ has given to me through His word and His life (1 Peter 2:21),(Luke 4:16). So my religion is a follower of Christ.

  • I figured you would say your are a follower of Christ or a bible believing Christian, obviously you are either seventh day baptist or seventh day adventist only sabbath keepers believe scripture like you do. So until you can be honest then the discussion is over, make a video if you have more to say, I have a busy life and don't have time to explain scripture after scripture verse to you, it falls on deaf ears and is a waste of time, keep the law and ignore grace that is your choice.

  • I see you don't understand the difference between God's Law and the Law of Moses. I want to ask you, do you beleive that you are living in a sinful world?

  • I see you don't understand the various covenant God gave over time, or the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. We do live in a sinful world, does the law stop sin? Or does loving God with all our heart, mind and soul as well as our brothers?

  • Matthew 22:36-40 Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets. (You just read the This is the law of Christ.)

[Did you notice the greatest commandment wasn't the sabbath?]

  • Did you notice the greatest commandment is the Ten Commandments INCLUDING THE SABBATH!! In the book of (Mark 12:29,30, Jesus is quoting the old testament book of (Deuteronomy 6:4,5).(Deuteronomy 6:4,5), comes after Moses delivers the Ten Commandments to the children of Israel in (Deuteronomy 5). (Matthew 22:36-40), is a summary of the Ten Commandments. God gave two sets of Commandments on two stones (Deut. 9:10), but "on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets". (Matthew 22:40).

  • The verses you are quoting are the same as I quoted from Matthew 22:26-40 and the essence is the same as Mark. The Greatest Commandment is to love God, the 2nd is to love our brothers.. It is not a summary or the 10 commandments, Jesus gives the commandments again throughout the New Testament, [except] he never gives a commandment to keep the sabbath. Where is the verse to keep the sabbath? You won't answer that, like you can't show a verse where it was given to Adam and Eve.

  • Loving God with all our heart, mind and soul as we love our neighbors is based on keeping the law my brother. (Romans 13:8-10). And since you agree we do live in a sinful world, how then can there be no law? There would be no sinners. But we are all sinners, so the law still exist. Romans 4:15 "Where no law is, there is no transgression."

  • Paul answers that Romans 7:4-7, ..you also are become dead to the law, by the body of Christ; that you may belong to another, who is risen again from the dead, that we may bring forth fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members, to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are loosed from the law of death, wherein we were detained; so that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

  • And for the difference between the old and the new covenant, there is no difference!!! There is no change in the establishment, but rather, the change of the location of the law from "tables of stones" to "tables of the heart" (Hebrews 8:10).

  • There is a difference, the Old Covenant could not take away sin, Christ can he is the New Covenant, there is a change in the establishment (He is the mediator of the new Covenant) Where as Moses was the mediator of the Old. Hebrews chapters 7, 8, 9, 10 explains the difference. Not to mention Christ instituted the New Covenant at the last supper.

  • Where in the bible does say that Sunday is supposed to be held in remembrance of Christ resurrection? NO WHERE!! But however Romans 6:4 states, "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life". You mean to tell me that out of all of Christ disciples, none were givivng the instruction that Sunday would be the new Sabbath?

  • Where is the command to keep the Jewish sabbath? Where are the guidelines to keep this Jewish sabbath for the Christians. Romans 6:4 is not speaking in support of the sabbath, it explains our new life in Christ.

  • First off, you only answer a question with a question, when there is NO ANSWER to give! You call the Sabbath the Jewish Sabbath despite the fact the Sabbath was created in Eden 2,500 years before any Jew existed. (Genesis 2:1-3). In fact God also blessed the first marriage with Adam and Eve. So that is two instutions made in Eden before any Jew existed. 1 Corinthin 11:9, says "woman was made for man" speaking in the context of marriage. Does that mean marriage is only for the Jews?

  • First off I did answer your questions, you just don't like the answers or don't comprehend them. I told you Rom 5:4 has nothing to do with the sabbath. Again you will not show the verse that the sabbath was given as a command to keep in Genesis or anywhere before Moses. Adam and Eve's union has nothing to do with the topic, God blessed many things in the Old Testament. BTW care to disclose your religious affiliation?

  • Romans 6:4 is on Baptism in Remembrance of Christ death, burial and resurrection. That is how we are told to remember Him. NOT THROUGH KEEPING SUNDAY HOLY! You asked where is the command to keep Sabbath for the Christians today? I suggest you read (Hebrews 4:1-11). Verse 9, of that chapter states, "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God". in fact verse 8 says, "FOR IF JESUS HAD GIVEN THEN REST, THEN WOULD HE NOT AFTERWARD HAVE SPOKEN OF ANOTHER DAY".

  • Yep I know what Romans 6:4 is all about. The apostles had the authority to chose the day of worship, as I mentioned elsewhere evidence shows they did just that. What you are quoting from Hebrews is not support of the sabbath either, but that we rest in Christ. Like most of the quotes you don't take them to the end of the meaning. Hebrews 4:10 which you failed to mention says, "For he that is entered into his rest, the same also hath rested from his works, as God did from his."

  • What you fail to realize is that this verse Paul is speaking of David's psalm 94 in which he was not giving prophesy of God's rest in Genesis, nor is he speaking of the sabbath rest given to the Children of Israel by Moses in Exodus, nor is David speaking of the other time of rest promised to Joshua and the Israelites having conquered their enemies, all these events happened before his prophesy. Paul is speaking of David's prophecy of entering into Christ rest and none other.

  • Romans 6:23 reads, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And 1 John 3:4 states, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law". And finally Romans 4:15 says, "Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression". So I ask you what law is the Bible refering to?

  • All 613 of God's laws not just the Ten Commnadmnets as the SDA make it out to be.

  • Romans 2:12 speaks of those who sinned without the knowledge of the Law and those who sinned with the knowledge of the Law. whether or not they had the knowledge of the law, they are judged by the law. Read it in its context, "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law".

  • Do you think the law means just the Ten Commandmnets?

  • For all who seem to agree that the Great Law of God is done away with, Remember that one day you will have to face God and answer to Him accordingly to your deeds."The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law." -1 Corinthians 15:56,

  • You used that verse as if it were some type of curse, not to mention you didn't quote the full expression of what Paul wrote. And when you answer to God will you be judged by the law? Romans 2:12 or are grace? Romans 6:14

  • Within the full text, Paul combines two Old Testament texts: Isaiah 25:8 and Hosea 13:14. The sting of a serpent. Death, like a serpent deprived of its venomous sting, can no longer harm those who are in Christ (Genesis 3:15). Death entered the world through sin (Romans 5:12). The new covenant replaces the old. Sin can now be forgiven and forgotten, because of Christ our Savior, not because of the law.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 O' death, where [is] thy sting? O' grave, where [is] thy victory? The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. We do the work of the Lord, not the works of the law. The law is death [Romans 7:6]

  • Galatians 3:9-13 Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law, are under a curse. For it is written: Cursed is every one, that abideth not in all things, which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that in the law no man is justified with God, it is manifest:

  • Galatians 3:9-13 cont - because the just man liveth by faith. [But the law is not of faith:] but, He that doth those things, shall live in them. [Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,] being made a curse for us: for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

  • Thanks for posting, God bless

  • Yes Sabbath was only given to the JEWS and how can you say God abolished it when the scripture clearly says "do not add or diminish from my laws" sabbath will not be observed until the children of Israel return to their Lord.

  • I didnot say God abolished the Sabbath for the Jews. God said it. Thanks

  • Hosea 1 verse 2: Here we see that Hosea’s wife and children were visionary. This analogy was used by God to portray His people, Judah and Israel in an idolatrous state.

God would not literally have His prophet marry harlots. See Lev. 21:7, 14

  • That is exactly what God told him to do in order to show how Israel had broken the Covenant and because of that God was not obligated to keep it either. With that God changed the day of worship as he said he would do. Thanks

  • Ok So i noticed you are wrong here. Notice the Word you used when quoting Hosea was "Sabbaths". In Leviticus 23 God has given the People multiple Sabbaths which they are to observe. 7 of them to be exact. so you are right yet wrong at the same time. The "Sabbaths" (note the word is Plural) were abolished, but the Sabbath as given in the Commandments was not. which takes us back to the fact that catholics are wrong when they say Jesus was crucified on a Friday and rose on sunday. He Rose Sat. Nite

  • Please show me in the Bible where Jesus rose on Saturday night? Also Mark 16:1 says when "the Sabbaths were over" (OT Sabbaths) vs 2 "on the first day of the Sabbaths" (NT Sabbaths Sunday." I suggest you stop playing word games and study the whole Bible. Thanks

  • I commend your scholarly research. It is without a doubt God inspired. This issue has taken on new meaning as I have recently watched confessing believers in Christ being led away to the capativity of this Sabbath hersey. People are now boldly declaring that Christ is not enough which truly is the spirit of the Anti-Christ.

  • Your comment is appreciated. It is my desire that people take into account the whole Bible and not just bits and pieces that led them astray. Thanks

  • The other aspect to this entire debate is that if this 4th law is still in effect, then it's consequences must surely be. I wonder if the Sabbatarians understand the consequences of breaking the Sabbath and how far reaching it is. According to Exodus 35:2-3 if you are working on the Sabbath and even have lights on in your house you should lawfully be put to death! I think I prefer the New Covenant.

  • The 4th commnadment Sabbath is no longer in effect but the Christian Sabbath, Sunday, is in effect. The 4th commandment was for Israel only and on several occasions God said it would end. I believe the principle of rest is what God intended. Part of that rest is to worship God and devote the day to Him. If a person wants to do that on Saturday because of some conflict that is fine.

  • Hosea 2

I will not quote it as there is not enough space to write it all.

In Hosea 2 he is speaking to all of Israel, and God is saying that all of Israel is the adulterous wife.

Hosea 2-11 You spoke of in your video, God is punishing Israel, taking away their laughter (Mirth)taking away their feasts, their new moons, sabbath days, and all their solemn. These are punishments for turning away from God and worshipping Baal.

  • Hosea 2:13 - 13And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD. You have ripped this verse out of context. Later in Hosea 2 God gives a plan as to how Israel will be saved again.

  • Hosea 2 is about Sin, Judgment, and Restoration!

  • Yes the sins of Israel and God's displeasure with their conduct. As a results God was about to change His Sabbath. Thanks

  • Ellen G White for president!!!!

  • I am trying to send you an email, but I need to be added as a friend. Could I add you as a friend so we can correspond? I would love to hear more of what you have to say, and share my personal thoughts as well, as I am deeply looking for the spirit of Truth. Thanks! :)

  • Thanks for the truth.

  • Thanks for coming back and commenting and God Bless you.

  • Great Video!

    May God Bless you Always!

  • Thanks for making this video

  • You are welcome. I had to take a slight detour here before getting to the so called 2300 prophetic years of Daniel 8:14. God Bless

  • Excellent explanation Bingolly. Honestly I had never considered this before.

  • Actually, I have taken several intensive courses in Amos an had this in mind for some times now. It just occurred to me yesterday. God Bless

  • Great Job!!

  • Thank you and I cannot find my book anywhere. We had packed some things and I am afraid I must have packed it. Still looking though. God Bless You and I have enjoyed your series on the Saints very much.

  • You should try looking under your bed :)

  • I shall enter His rest, but it is not the Sabbath. The rest is in Jesus.

    Blessings Bingolly,

    darcy

  • Thanks darcy. Our eternal rest in in our Lord and Savior as you rightly point out. God Bless You

  • Amen! Our rest is Jesus!

  • I need to explain that the Sabbath itself does continue but as a command to worship as SDA and others use it has ended. Our redemption rest now is with Jesus and not a day. God Bless You

  • Great work and your efforts to make these videos is appreciated. We have a day to worship and it was sealed by the death of Jesus. It could not be any more clearer than this.

  • We know that every day is the day the Lord has made. We also know that the day does not save us Jesus does. I feel that through His death Jesus gave Christians of all generations a day to remember Him. He sealed it with his resurrection. God Bless You

  • Well put Bingolly. I will pray for you as you do this work. Keep Jesus first and truth as your guide and you cannot go wrong.
