When you have Closed Captioning on, it will give you alert to all the enemies. I think the crow was considered to be an enemy, because when I first walked into Ravenholm, it brings up a crow alert warning, long before bringing up zombie alert warnings whereas I have not seen a seagull alert. Crow alerts seem to be through out. Its just usually they fly away before feeling the need to engage in battle with the player.
