Considering he really knew what he did, he did an amazing job. Other with front engine - front air-induction engine designs where you have to be careful that the wave does not build up too high, the wave just cant be big enough with rear mounted - rear air-induction designs as he has to push as much water as possible around to allow the rear end to be in shallow water.
