the trills at 4:30 are perfectly nuanced, and the coda after the cadenza is tastefully phrased, really the definitive recording of this concerto

@bitterappula yes I know this recording and heard it 40 years ago when I was young.

Richter and Schumann is one.... Gilels did say that Richter was the best. He told it in an interview when the critics heard him in the west. he said wait till you ll hear Richter...

But of course Gilels also was a great musician. as Richter Gilels was not at his best in later years. Normal.... they also only were human . but which great ones....

This is my favorite Klavierkonzert, and is this the well known one in the Original DG CD's or a different one? It sounds much like it.
