Just curious.The description says this is 'the original Broadway cast'.Most of them look way too young to have been performing this way back in the 70s! Great performance though,and one of my fave' musicals.

I was a hippie back then and to tell you the truth it was pretty fun. I didn't do drugs. No need for that. Life was fun enough. We enjoyed our clothes and hair and the new music that was coming out. For some people it was sex and drugs. But it was really about celebrating self expression. Then we all had to get serious about being part of the establishment. In order to survive, lol. But for a while it was a massive shout of joy before we got down to the business of life.

They've always had them together in every version I've heard so in my book, it's one song. This Sasha person was great in the remake but the stage performance, she killed the song with those over the top notes. It wasn't needed. The song was meant to be mellow and harmonizing. Not "hey look at me do this high note."
