@psobb12 Using the NTSC version, found out it was because of the randon IP problem that it has (0.0.0.0 for the second net config) can connect now but getting terrible ping, think its because I'm using a USB serial cable and virtual PC.

this is the best console port of quake 3,, but  I enjoyed unreal tournament more.. too bad is not online anymore :(

If you have SBC/AT&T DSL internet its easy to set up because you should get AT&T dial up as well so just plug in a phone cord and find a local access number sbcyahoo.prodigy.net/openPhone­/index.html

And Quake 3 Arena US Version Support all 2 Modems.

Ok, i *have* read the comments below, but (in fear of sounding like a complete n00b) how the hell do you play the Dreamcast version of Q3A online? Once dreamkey went down i though that was it? Or are you not using dreamcast consoles to play this? I'm egar to learn as this was my fave FPS - any help appreciated!!

PC and Dreamcast play on same Server Version all what you need is DC Map Pack for PC and Q3 Version Switch and change Version to 1.16n

Man I miss the dreamcast Quake 3. Such great memories with that game. Looks like the 360 version is getting pretty close to coming out now though :D. Should be awesome trying to relive the dreamcast days of that game.
