  • Everything about this movie is beautiful. It was well done, well written, and well cast.

  • This is a great movie. Today there are more slaves than at that time. Can we do something?

  • @ maureenOWW

God does exist, and with out him you would not be here so shut up and think about the words you say before you put 'em down.

    Good show by the way!

  • @Holister951 Fuck off. It's grossly arrogant to presume to tell someone else what they can or cannot say because of some deity you were conditioned to believe in. If god does exist, he'd be disgusted by your arrogance. Cunt.

  • I love this movie. I cry at the end all the time.

  • this is quite easily one of the most powerful movies i have EVER seen. Praise God.

  • A very decent contribution to the present bicentennial celebration....watch this movie with great quality at

    EasyMediaClick (dot) com

  • A great movie, too bad slavery still exists. You can't buy slave free chocolate, coffee, clothes, or electronics in our god damned society unless it is fair trade, and good luck finding that.

  • @thirteendays13 THIS, my thoughts exactly.

  • @thirteendays13

I'm glad Holland is coming around! we got lots of fair trade/ecological products here nowadays! not as much as 'regular' products, but it's going strong! Even one of our biggest chocolate manufacturers 'Verkade' has gone fair trade for about a year now! =)

  • This is a FANTASTIC movie - it deserves FAR MORE ATTENTION than it received!!!

  • @jammies3 it is so under appreciated! I get so emotional watching it EVERY time.

  • I thinks it's about time and past time for this movie!

  • i love this mivie. it's so powerful

  • All Things Change AlWays For The Better. LOVE John xxxxx

  • @johnmv8888 No......

  • i love this song and a like very much the Chris Tomlin version

  • It's not heard of in Bulgaria too! But it's a remarkable film! It's the first but not the last time I'm watching it!

  • This is one of the best films of the year by far! It's outstanding!

  • Oh I love that part

Wilbur- "No matter how loud you'll shout you will not drown out the joice of the pople"

    Banastre Tarelton "People"

  • Is albert finny in this movie?

  • yes.

  • Yes Albert Finney plays John Newton, former slaver who wrote 'Amazing Grace.'

  • great film!!! it sucks that nobody knows about it in Spain!!! Oh my gosh i just love it!!!

  • The song was written by an Englishman, John Newton, who was a slave trader before he repented his sins and chose a life of solitude as a preacher. He encouraged Wilberforce in his fight to end the slave trade.

  • nice.

  • Queengirl...you have a heart of gold. Good luck with your studies, people like you give me faith in Humanity. All the best love ;D

  • i cried my eyes out when i saw this too! it's inspired me to do the slave trade as part of my history A-level

  • I saw this today. I was crying at the end. Every high school student in America should've been taken to see it. They draw strong parallels between slave industry power then and corporate power today.

  • I always thought that this song was american but apparently it was written by an englishman named John Newton.

  • Thats what I thought, but the reason why is becuase lots of black american gospel singers sing it, like a memory for the slave trade.

  • Yes, exactly, I watch a lot of US TV/ films so this song always appears now and again.

  • Ironic the Statue of Freedom which sit atop the U.S. Capital was forged by a slave in exchange for his freedom...

  • this looks good :)
