they are drawing power from the existing 2 fans inside.

I've had no probs on live. see i have only modded the case this console is not chipped or flashed so it acts the same as a normal 360. all it does is stop it overheating

thanks! and no i have not had to extend the cables, but i have just bought some longer ones for the dvd drive. the ones inside are tiny (about 2-3 in)
