Almost all of their aliases are stolen from tv characters.  In the Inside Job Sophie and Hardison pose as Emily Peel and Jonathan Steed (the main characters from British show, The Avengers). Also, it's a bit of a stretch (since it's such a common name and a rather oblique reference) but Alice White is the wife of Perry White, Chief editor of the Daily Planet.
