This is oversimplification at it's best/worst.Unless I'm mistaken there are also countless pictures of non-emos who had blood on them, have committed suicide, drawn violent art and kissed other guys. I suppose the suicide rate couldn't possibly be due to 9/11, the war, increased poverty, chaotic school systems with declining budgets (etc etc etc)?

opinions and facts often get confused, kids who mutilate their bodies need help, instead of pointing the finger at a band,how about you make a video with a list of sites or numbers that allows these kids to get help.

It's a song by Evanescence. Yes, it's dark, but I don't cut myself to it. And the last time I checked, singing about death is goth. Not emo. Emo is more like bands that actually call themselves emo, like Boys Like Girls- you know, crappy bands that sound the same. And you're apparantly 37, but you sound like you're 8. Wow.

Have you ever looked into an emo's reason for cutting? Or even posting the pictures? Or what they said about the cuts? There's some videos on here where people are explaining their reason for cutting themselves, and they wish to stop. They have pictures of their scars because they're telling about them, but not glamourizing it at all. Just because they posted it doesn't mean it's because they're emo. They may be warning others about it to tell them not to get to far, like what I've seen here.

And honestly- other labels hurt themselves too. A stereotype for a prep (which is sort of the complete opposite of emo) is that they are bulimic or annorexic. I don't see anything telling parents to be "cautious of preps." I never see emos causing chaos in the streets or killing others. Emos are not dangerous to others. Unlike you, I actually know some. And if people are telling them to stop being emo because of fear of bullying, it's not emo that has to stop. It's bullying.

i'm sorry but this video is not a lot of help. Emo is a style of dress. That's it. Self harm and suicide can be carryed out by any one. Just a couple of months ago my friends 7 year old sister tryed to kill herself be jumping out of her bedroom window so she wouldn't have to put up with bullying any longer. She landed in a flower bed and broke her back. She is now in a wheel chair for life. She was 7. Her wardrobe consisted of pink skirts and lelli kelly sandels. She's not emo!

They act in ways to draw attention to themselves (Cying, cutting, threatening suicide, dressing like clowns). Hence, they are the attention whores.
