  • "If you dont count the teeth" BURRRRRRN

  • Bob Dylan is everything modernity has to say about music.

  • sleep's for dreamers! hahaha

  • Michelle Williams is a bit of chameleon too. Her voice and mannerisms are so different here from any other movie she's made. It would be tough to even tell it's her at first.

  • 5:45 "Norman, this is Brian Jones, from that groovy covers band". Una de las mejores escenas del cine de todos los tiempos.

  • lol 7:11 to 7:46 is my favorite part xD

  • What does "Cate" say at 7:02?

  • @KellyGreen5555 "Ah true love. Here in the land of Charles Atlas and the bomb."

  • @LoservilleTV Mucho thanks!

  • "This is Brian Jones... from that groovy covers band!"

  • @084857lqlq A passage from "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche. Read it, it'll change your life.

  • who's that girl?

  • I dont get this movie Jude Quinn ? what does that have to do with bob dylan

  • @WhAtZCrAcKiNN

There are i guess 5 (i guess) dkifferent characters - none of them is called Bob Dylan - but everyone is kind of representing one character aspect / life stage of Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan himself is "not there" because "I is someone else"

  • @wildhias oh okay thanks i kind of understand it now !

  • At 3:30 it's a cover of cold irons bound. At 3:32 it's a cover of Ballad of Hollis Brown.

  • 3:30

  • What's song at 3:32

  • What's song at 3:30 ?

  • i am always wondering...the chick at the end - is that Edie Sedgwick she is representing?

  • @eleanor3721 I would say yes. She doesn't seem nearly as charismatic as Edie was though.

  • @eleanor3721 Yeah.

  • I really feel bad for poor bob@ the beginning of this scene..misunderstood then as he is now..

  • what song is playing at 4:07.

  • Does anyone knows the name of the sont at 4;55?

  • Not Your Stepping Stone - The Monkees

  • "(I'm not your) Steppin Stone" by the Monkees.

  • Its kinda funny how people booed him when he play like a rolling stone and it ended up being the greatest song of all time well according to the rolling stones magazine

  • @123carolie

Well, Rolling Stone Magazine has zero credibility so what you are saying really is meaningless.

  • @CoolDude8675309 I agree, The song was good with or without the approval or recognition from any magazine...

  • ben whishaw looks SO much like rufus wainwright in this movie it's not even funny.

  • yepp. he does say judas. that whole.. "betraying folk, and conforming" thing.

  • What does he say around 0:57-0:58?

    D:

  • I think he says "Judas!"

  • I wounder what the really Bob Dylan thought.....that is if he did see this movie...

  • Anyone else think guy at 7:08 looks like Elliot Smith? That's what I thought when I first watched it.

  • her hand motions and the way she talked in 6:20 was perfect.

i didnt like the use of quotes they used in the beginning, but it really grew on me... it's like a collage.

  • whats that they yell at him, when he's finishes Ballad Of a Thin Man??

Right afterward he says "I don't belieeeeve you"

  • Comment removed

  • judith

  • judas-many at the time thought he had "sold out" .

  • JUDAS

  • during the real show, after they yell "judas" at him, he says:

    "i don't believe you,"

    "you're a liar!"

then, right before the last number (like a rolling stone) he yells,

    "play it f**king loud!"

  • Amazing film, amazing acting.

  • If I didn't know who Cate Blanchett was, you'd have a hard time convincing me that was a woman playing Dylan. Such a good performance, she was robbed of that Oscar.

  • qhat's song name?????please!

  • ballad of a thin man-originally from the album "highway 61 revisited"

  • "I don't belieeeeeve you."

    excellent.

  • After the rain

Rainbown bridges raised through mountain streams...

    ...Deliverance shall come one day!

  • 4:20 is such a great shot.

  • Brian Jones - from that groovy covers band!

  • Why do they scream Judas, and why does that offend Jude?

  • They're saying that he turned on his old type of acoustic music/views and therefore betrayed all his fans.

  • i have to try really really really hard to recognize michelle williams

  • haha she has the sweetest little pussy

  • actually the voice is pretty good. i could never even get close to sounding like dylan.

  • especially considering she's a woman and british O_O

  • yeah. when she says "american music" it sounds pretty dead on. she did a great job with this.

  • Actually she's Australian.

  • Ohh, thanks for letting me know. She's so amazing!

  • Isn't she! can't believe it's her in this role, she does dylan so well.

  • It's so weird seeing pictures of her as herself after watching the movie. I googled her and then was like "AHH NO MAKE IT STOP SHE WAS SO GOOD AT BOB" hahaha..

  • 0:25

I love the way she bow after the song.

Actusly I love her entire gesture in this movie. So 'Dylanesque'.. ^^

  • judas

  • hahah this movie is good

    =]

  • Iggy pop I think I forget now

  • thanks! I can work off that. I havent listened to iggy pop much. I think a change is coming soon :)

  • what that song's name at the tarantuala scene?

  • No it's not by Iggy Pop. It's called I'm Not Your Stepping Stone by The Monkees.

  • no I know that song. I'm talking about the one at 3:37. Does anyone know? Just curious

  • Iggy and the stooges' cover of Bob Dylans

    "the Ballad of Hollis Brown"

  • I love cate at :52

she captures Dylan's mannerisms so well

  • she has the sweetest little pussy...if you dont count the teeth!

  • ahh sorry I gave u a thumbs down! i just saw the part where he says it

  • I like the 'meow' Cate/Bob gives. What a brilliant performance.

  • who plays ginsberg

    is it david cross?

  • Yes, it is.

  • It is indeed

  • i dont beleave you

    CLASSIC

  • they scream...JUDAS

  • what were those guys yelling at :56 and 1:06?

  • what ginserbg reads, its nietzche or bob's own tarantula lines?

  • I love that little puff of Dylan hair at 6:55!

  • Cate Blanchett's part was the best of all actors in the movie!

    She is great!!

  • Completey, i wish the film was just her.!

  • anything is better than christian bale's rendition..that guy sucks

  • sorry its about edie here comparing to siena miller at factory girl, diferent personalitys

  • factory was terribly inaccurate.

  • whats the song's name in the 4:55 minute??

  • "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" by ... the Monkees I think?

  • aaah I adored her when she said "Look at all these medicines!!!"

ha haa, she is AWESOME ☻

    luv Catee

  • whats the name of the song at 3:41??..please .. someone

  • marshamellows, I think it is the "Ballad of Hollis Brown" at 3:41.

  • hahaha coco is sooo Edie....

  • what song is she singing? mister jones?

  • Ballad of a Thin Man

  • TY :)

  • it wasn't meant to look like edie.

  • i agree think she had different character

  • no.. it was her cause he talked about the cambell soup can guy who she is a model for & if you watch another video of bob dylan from way back in the day he talks about it and looks at the picture.. its supposed to be edie she also walks into the party with andy warhol on her right.

  • um... no

  • I think it is because they refer to her as "queen of the underground" when they see her on the back of a magazine in the apartment. If I do recall there was some type of relationship at one point between Dylan and Edie? Idk..

Haha I'm really confused. Does anyone know who she IS playing?

  • It's supposed to be a version of Edie Sedgewick like you said

  • youre right...she is playing a woman based on edie sedgewick

  • "Look at all these medicines!"

  • oh my god. this is impressive shit

  • Cate Blanchett did an awesome job. Even better at a young Dylan than Dylan could do now,I'm sure.

  • I don't think he could do a good job, just because it's his own life and I guess that'd be kinda awkward?

But I agree, cate blanchett did a wonderful job. =]]]

  • You're fucked in the head mate.

  • i hope you buy a brand new pair of shoes & then lose them - i hate you.

  • kate blanchett did an amazing job she has the voice down and everything :D

    AH!she's so insain!

  • Such a great movie.

  • how is highwater playing when this is supose to be in the 60's

  • its art

  • This was in response to another idiotic comment by someone in similar vain. Is sarcasm dead? People need to understand this is not a conventional biopic so it requires a different approach.

  • oh alright, sorry. i made a mistake..

  • What's the song, when Jude Quinn is in the start of the party [in the end part of the video]

This song is very nice :)

  • "I'm not your steppin' stone" by The Monkees.

this film is amazing by the way

  • when coco/edie, whoever, says that her cat is missing, she says "SHE already knows who angelina is don't you, jude?" slip of the tongue

  • No, that's "Judie already knows..."

  • oh wow you're right. my bad. sometimes its hard to remember that it's a woman playing that character and when i heard that i just went with it. she can really pull that off

  • yeah i thought she said that too but i did a double take on it

  • Hey what is the song that's playing when Ginsburg is reading? Someone said that it's the Ballad of Hollis Brown, but I can't find the right version. The song will NOT get out of my head. Great clips, by the way. Thanks for posting.

  • Hey. I spend two hours of my life to find this song. I finally found out it's Ballad Of Hollis Brown with "Iggy Pop & The Stooges"

It was very hard to find.

  • thank you so fucking much man... it was driving me crazy.

  • brian jones, a faux edie sedgwick, and mandrax. well played.
