@Sx2Kirby 1 and 4 are more personal opinions, I think. I rather enjoyed both. 5 has nothing to do with XIII itself. 5 is just a way to get more money. Yer surprised about that? I was talking about 3. And yes, I agree. 2 was disappoint.

@GlowingGenetLoki Sorry but by #1 I meant they took away some of the control the player has over the characters which isn't always bad (ex. Ogre Battle 64) but it made the battle less interactive. The battle performance thing isn't too big of a deal, just seemed pointless. And #5 it's mostly about the fact that Square decided to make multiple parts of this particular FF game instead of any of the ones that are seen in a better light.

@thedragoonknight Ya gotta admit though, the way music for multi-stage final bosses is pretty clever. The first battle has you pumped and ready, you're all fired up to kick some ass as the epic music like this gets you riled up. Then the next stage starts and you're greeted by a stronger form and hectic music, signifying that the pressure is on. It switches you straight from "WE CAN DO THIS!" to "Man...I gotta be careful, I can't screw up here!"

Let me just say that this song is EXTREMELY epic when turned up loud and you are fighting this battle with a low -leveled party...like, Level 1 Crono, Level 4 Marle, and Level 15 Robo. I love Low Level playthroughs...

No flame taken! It's part of a challenge to beat CT at the lowest levels possible...on this particular battle, what happens is Robo equips GreenDream (an item you get from the Fiona sidequest) which instantly revives him when being killed...Lavos wipes out the party on his first turn, Robo is revived, Robo quickly heals and his able to survive Lavos' opening attacks from his arms....after that, he will revive the rest of the party, they use the triple tech "Life Line", and you go from there...

Obviously, a level 1 Crono is going to be killed by any attack from Lavos, so Life Line will instantly revive him. You just have to keep recasting it. The thing is, you have Robo spam Uzzi Punch, Crono spam confuse, and Marle spam Megalixers...All 3 have maxed speed, Crono and Robo have Haste helms, and Crono and Robo have ** Power, so Lavos will take about 3000 damage for every successful Confuse + Uzzi Punch. It's the hardest battle in all of the challenge, and requires a lot of luck.

CT gets my vote for best RPG overall, but the Earthbound games are the funniest. My character in Earthbound 2 just approached a nightclub, only to be told by the bouncers that he wasn't allowed in because he had a dog with him. He and the dog walked off-screen and returned about five seconds later, the dog now dressed in a t-shirt and cap and walking on his hind legs. The bouncers asked where the dog went, commented on the unusually dog-like appearance of the new guy, and let them in. XD

For those of you who have no knowledge of Chrono trigger (or think you do) the art box on the cover is not ''fake'' or watever just because marle uses fire. It's the triple tech Arc Impulse by frog, Chrono and marle. Now go play the game again people.

Besides, the description of Arc Impulse is "Attack w/ Ice Slash". Not Fire Slash.

I've watched Arc Impulse again and Marle casts a ray of ice, though it does makes some flames as Chrono slashes it towards the enemy. Arc Impulse = "Attack w/ IceSlash"

But once again, I believe it's a mistake.

1. Marle's element is Water

2. You can't use Arc Impulse on Heckran

3. Heckran isn't in the Dark Ages.

I believe it's simply put like this to look good on the cover. But that's my modest opinion.
