I would really like to see Lita, Joan, and Cherie reunite again for a Runaways show due to their Runaway movie being out. That would be so cool. Theyd have to get a different drummer due to Sandys death, but still be sweet and just think of all the extra cash they could cash in with.

I listen to her play, I close my eyes and for just a short time I am back at the Blue Moon, Sandy,Paul,Tony & Gregg are all there its awesome and man can she play these were such happy times, God knows how bad I wish for just one more day just one oh God what I'd give! Yeah That was really the BEST SANDY WEST BAND, and if it was around now ... it would have been BIGTIME, for SANDY, sad they are now making all these RUNAWAYS films and other Things surrounding a truely World changing band, after THE REAL FOUNDER PASSED AWAY...why could this not have happened sooner? when she spent 20 plus years HOPING? i knew sandy...she was like family to me.

she was teaching me how to play drums about a year before she went to jail the last time...my mom didnt want me talking to her cuz she was on drugs again so we lost touch. 2 years later we got a call saying she had passed away, i regret not going to her funeral (she died 2 days after my uncle died). thank you for putting this up, i really needed to see this.

Thanks so much for putting this together, Paul. I knew Sandy back in the 1970's. When she came to Austin, she came out and played with my friends and I. I moved to Cali because of her!! I lived with her for awhile while she was doing session work and she helped me and encouraged me while I was trying to make my way in CA.

Somehow we lost track of each other, but she has been trying to reach me in my dreams. I just found out she's gone now and I'm just devastated... Everything said rite

The Starwood? man that has been gone so long ago,I saw the KNACK...GoGo's etc there, yep it was a great place, but the Council banned music there so it closed, sucks, oh well what else is new

I saw the band originally during the seventies--Sandy would always talk to random fans. Can you imagine Cherie, Joan or Jackie doing that?

Years after they broke up, the band attracted serious collector types around the world. There was serious talk of a reunion which never happened. I mean, can't they reopen the Starwood and just jam together 300 or so fans in disco shirts to watch 'em? well, guess not. Wolfgang could still open for them!
