Fantastic fight but dad was not at himself for this fight after boycotting the ulster cships for few years and that's no disrespect to Gerry as he was a great fighter! Three weeks later I'm Dublin my dad won by a country mile! Pity you don't have that one as my da raging this one up lol keep up good work Eamon great videos!!

bobby was a great trainer. he did all the hard work in the gym (fitness, tactics etc) only for other people 2 take the credit on the night, and we all no who im talking about.

Interesting note here, Hamill had Trainer Bobby McAllister in his corner here when he beat Nash, but a few weeks later in Dublin, Coach McAllister couldnt make the Dublin trip, and Nash won th return fight !

bbc1 (local). the ulster senior finals use to be on every year.

@eamonmcauley Thanks. In the 1970's RTE  TV would broadcast the Irish senior championships as part of its Saturday 'Sports Stadium' programme. But apparently RTE wiped nearly all its video tapes from this period. So, your collection of clips forms a unique archive
