  • Blessings to Ian Brown and all of humanity and musics and religions and animals and other neat things!

  • Reni really shines on this one.

  • @dannymilner1 -0% musical taste

  • @dannymilner1 > 100% of ARSEHOLE

  • Such beauty in raw prototype. Praise Gore. Americans can now catch on.

  • IS TE ANY BDY GUNNA ME OR WHAT NOT FUNNY

  • @indielad13 You sir, give me hope for the youth.

  • I love the intro. It's very unusual, even without the reverb.

  • what, wait, shut the fuck up people- this is a BETTER version... less shoegaze- more THEM. what's wrong with you?

  • love this/these garageflower versions!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE PLEASE!!! PLEASE PLEASE!

  • Hopefully the Roses will get back together and do a few more albums.

No reason why not, and they still have all the talent in the world.

Led Zeppelin were together from 68 to 80, Roses from 83 to 95.

Zeppelin only ended with death of Bonham.

No excuse for Roses, as Reni never died, he just walked away.

  • I tend not to compare this to the later version. Both absolutely spine chilling tracks.

  • They were like the Sex Pistols. So few songs and so fukkin good.

  • Great version!

  • Is Tradgic Roundabout on YT? I can upload it if my computer's MP3 will let me.

  • wow !!

this is good, very raw, but excellent

  • Awesome version

  • i kinda like brownys vocals here, but overall i think i prefer the one on stone roses.

  • Sorry, but this version is shit due to knowing how much better the version on the debut is,

  • Production doesn't matter to me as much as I would think if a band is as talented as this. Good music is good music. The self titled ended up being a classic but these first cuts are beautiful in their own "garage" sounding way

  • I like this version better than the final cut, it's grungy and pure

  • If you like Stone Roses and/or Bob Dylan or just imaginative cover versions, then you really ought to check out my own acoustic Love Spreads cover with shocking early Dylan style harmonica playIng.

Let me know your good and bad feedback if you have anything to offload...I'm quite thick skinned so speak your minds people....

  • Immerse me in your splendour....... God, I miss you guys , very very much

  • Questa versione mi fa piangere, mi fa emozionare lol

  • Please have a look at this fellow doing a drum cover of this.

    DetaRamei

  • @sirharry1875 i saw him ages ago hes colosall aint he

  • Best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • john squire made the band.

  • @shuggy105

no, they all made the band.

one of the true four pieces.

reni was the best musician of the band

  • yee this is the one and that is the one

  • : )

  • fk in awesome tune

  • got Garage Flower, more punky album in many ways

  • i love these rough old cuts so raw and unedited sound awsome even with the high treble and bass chakka chakka boom

  • drums sound better on this version...

  • Simply fan-tas-tic!

I´ve never heard this version before. It´s really great!

    Thanks a lot!

  • Modern music really is mostly apalling shit:(

  • There are plenty of great bands out there right now: Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors, etc

You should also check out The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, they sound like TSR with additional boy-girl harmonies.

  • Garage Flower is an amazing album, i only wish they would have had 'I am The Resurrection' on it, that would of sounded mint with this kind of sound!

  • infact the bass was that loud on the garage flower album, that when the band played it in a car travelling down the motorway,Renis nose burst and started bleedin, cos it was that bass and treble heavey....

  • love the echo on his voice and the bass sounds louder......class

  • rough and ready, but i like it

  • I can't decide which version I like better.

  • Stone Roses > 99.9% of the rubbish out at the moment.

  • so so so true

  • Comment removed

  • Stone Roses > 100% of rubbish.

  • They are THE ONES

  • Lol Indie lad im 34 this year and i saw the roses live a couple of times i even remember skiving of school to go see them live when they Played whitleybay icerink i Fucking qued in the cold all day God knows Fucking why lol it wasnt like i wasnt gonna get in..Anyway well said mate 50 pence and all this other R&B & Rap shite dominates the charts nowadays its all Bollocks!,.But you still young you got time on your side A great Band always comes every generation so maybe you due one soon lol!.

  • you going to see ian brown in december? :) i am...should be great :D

  • i like dis version better. am i a bad person for this???

  • well said, indielad13!

  • I'd never heard this version before! While on the whole I prefer the album version, some of the vocal and musical effects on this are quite interesting (although possibly unintended eg. distortion) and worth keeping. Nowadays they'd release it as a remix

  • yeah m8 garage flower album is quite punky and they do let rip the overdrive and distortion but to good use, have u heard other songs from the album?

  • Only what's been posted here on youtube. I've never seen the album

  • Even if this version pales somewhat to the album version, it still sounds awesome. I'm so glad I can play this song on guitar.

  • Hi there m8, where did you get the tab from for this song?

    Cheers.

  • PURE LOVE

  • this is da 1 , this is da 1 ive waited for . oh this is da 1 thank you

  • Take a look at a fellow called 'DetaRamei' who does drum covers of some Roses tunes.

I love the guy and hes got Reni's drumming well sorted.

  • This is the ONE?

  • I like this version, i wish i was around bak then :(

  • same here

  • and here

  • me too, I wish I was born in the late 60s

  • wat r u shittin on about

  • Damn right! I wish I was 18 in 1989. God I would have loved it so damn much.

  • well said mate me too, how good would it have been! there are romours that they are going to reform this year, what do you about it?

  • we're in the same boat mate :(

  • im stoned out of it rite now an ive just fell in love wiyh dis garage flower version. long live da roses

  • wat a fuckin tune

  • Never heard this!

Even in this raw state it's already obviously a beautiful song.

  • i love the vocals.

  • personally i love this album. ace!

  • Raw, brilliant, but not as refined as the other version 4 stars

  • Do you have I Wanna Be Adored from Garage Flower?

  • Yes. I'll put it on soon.

  • thats some seriously shoody production, especially when you compare it to the version on the Stone Roses album

  • This raw version is from an album later known as Garage flower which was recorded in 1985 and was to be the bands debut album but they decided against releasing it. It was released in 1996 against the bands wishes.

Its obviously not as good as the eventual version but the signs of a classic are there.

  • Yeah!!!! Beautiful!!!!

  • who is this singing mate, some of it sounds like Ian Brown! Is it?

  • yes early version of it

  • Nice video
