yep.. my teacher was just talking about his challanges the other day.. i heard it was his first day teaching at chaffey and there was already two guys that went in to challenge him to fight.. do you know that he taught physics before.. i just learned that today.. so weird
I trained with Ajarn Chai back in the early 80's at his muay thai camp in Pomona Ca. He is the father of TBA. Its true, he used to teach at Chaffey college in Alta Loma in the 80's and would have walk-in challengers from Japanese Styles and Korean styles. He'd kick-ass regularly just to validate this MT as a legitimate art. He's a seminar next week (tues) at Dan Inosanto's in Marina Del Rey. Also co-host the annual Oregon Muay Thai Camp.
i think he just drops it when he moves out and he relaxes.. i met him in person and got a lil slap on the face by dropping my hand.. =P.. that's one of the things he emphasizes so much.. prolly the most he emphasizes on.. answer the phone
So are all the stories of him true? Fighting Challengers from other martial arts and stuff back then? They should make a movie about him. He's done alot for spreading Muay Thai to the West.

physics and martial arts go hand in hand the same way martial arts and music and the study of language go hand in hand- same principles.
