It's difficult to make good graphics that don't take 15 minutes to load up. You saw how it took around 4 or 5 seconds to load the Professor, Ash, and Gary. It's just easier to tell the person to use their imagination and try to use characters that reflection the situation as closely as possible, like using the asterisks for bushes/tall grass, the > < signs for water, and the = for fences. We calculator programmers are using slow speeds and many limits to make as much as possible.

we've surpassed those small graphical limitations ages ago. I'm not sure why tifreak refused to utilize those technologies.

Some programmers prefer pure BASIC programming to ASM libs, because it's easier to distribute your programs to players, by not requiring them to have special software to run your programs. Also, you learn to make more efficient programs by working with the limitations, instead of breaking them.

As far as being right or wrong, I know few non-programmers who can understand what an ASM lib is, much less which ones are currently out there, and which they would need to make their new RPG game work.

Besides, I was only offering my reasoning as to why tifreak might not use ASM libs for this program. Why not ask him? I frequent a site where he posts updates on this game, and could ask him myself.

the TI community has lost enough users due to hate comments on people game in the past 4 years, we do not need to lose more. Not that the author of this game (tifreak8x) would, but think before you comment on people free stuff. On top of that, I would like to see your own programs profile on ticalc. Try to do better than this. Also stop judging games solely based on graphics and disregarding content, plus did u ever try ASM learning? It's friggin difficult. Anyway I'm done with you
