This is dissapointing. you could get this effect with a filter! I used a pentax "p30" SLR, an adapter ring, some gaffer tape, a sock, and a medium format lense (for large image circle) and got much better results. The focus should be able to be thrown like a horizintal wave, OR isolated, but not just centrally! this is just a 'star' soft focus effect, you need the 'shift' as well, as in shift/tilt lense (bellows).
@pHaTdProductions not really a piece of crap if your one of the people who rather take an amazing picture than have to edit the crap out of there image just to make it look good, and the effects from this lens are deeper than you could get from photoshop
I like how the pinpoint focus leads the viewer's eye exactly where a director wants it to go.

They shot "MISFITS" tv show with the same effects but I think they need to get this kit since I could tell they had the same effects through editing
