I'll say this for Beck, at least you know where he stands. With Maher, everything is so vague - which makes me think there's a lot more here than ideology. The guy started talking about his displeasure, as a "libertarian" with GOP policies, and gained a huge audience of liberal Democrats as a result. Now he's just telling them what they want to hear. When he started doing that, I lost respect for him. He's too smart for partisanship. Or maybe not.

Maher, Colbert, and Stewart are not "in bed with politicians". Maher is actually extremely critical of left wing politicians and when Stewart interviewed Obama, the theme of the questions were "Why are you not doing what you said you'd do?" As for Colbert, he focuses on the media rather than politics.

The only people who are in bed with politicians (or rather politicians are in bed with them) is the right, from what I can tell.

Sad thing is, several FOX "News" viewers I've met do give a shit about the truth, but they fail to realize that 99% of FOX is opinion based (yes there is some truth in there but it's not worth sifting through all the BS to find it).
