We should have kept him signed and made him captain. Best midfielder of that type in europe that season. Destroyed everybody in the PL. He made our 2-man midfield strong enough to dominate quality teams with 3 CMs

This guy is by far my favorite player. He was so great at Arsenal and is wasted at Milan. I have never forgiven Wenger for letting Flamini go. Great choice on the song, btw.

@citizenjosefk flamini was the one who wanted to go, arsenal offered a contract and flamini kept delaying his decision. it was either for him arsenal who offered a starting spot in midfield or milan who offered bigger wages

@sodiumwaste Eh, not many men will stay with a company after their contract comes up for renewal and the company offers 25% less pay than what their competitors are offering. Arsenal wouldn't pay him the market value for his services, so of course he left. The same thing happened with Ashley Cole and others. There was every indication that Flamini would have been happy to stay if the club had offered him a contract that was competetive with what other top clubs were offering him.

@ihnlChiv True. Denilson was great in 08/09 and 09/10 imo, but, this season, he's been a shadow of his former self. We've got a lot of midfielders atm, so it's probably best for his career that he leaves this summer.
