I know but it's said that they are trying to merge them in this movie, which why Goku is a teen and not a toddler. But I agree they should have gone all the way with the concept not half-assed. That's why I like the way they did Speed Racer, because for better or worse they fully immersed you into Speed's reality and it kicked ass. DBZ has human-sized talking animals that have real jobs and the Time Chamber, and during a full moon Goku with a tail grows into a super saiyan gorilla.

Right this movie looks like it takes place in this reality not the DB world of flying cars from Capsule Corp and Hurcule. And Goku isn't even human he's Saiyan. This isn't the official public trailer it is just a Liscencing and merchandising promo not meant for the public. Fox confirmed it was not intended for the public and the official trailer is not even finished yet thats why they had to hold back on releasing it with max payne on oct. 17 in order to finish it. It will most likely be released in the December/January time period. We may even get fortunate enough to have it released in november.

Well it took a while for the energy blast to come around in the show too. I bet by the end of the movie there will be a Kamehameha wave by the end. But yeah we all knew this was gonna happen. Maybe the second one will be better.
