  • One step closer to Gundams.

  • Dear santa...

  • NOW YOU'RE PLAYING WITH POWER!!!

  • The true test is if you can jerk off with it.

  • Notice this was year 2000 video, what did u expect? But congrats, it's awesome hand. Did u make it?

I am building robots and I need more people to help me. I need a hand like this! if you are interested, email me at TheGoodRobot@yahoo.com

Copy the title of this video so I know where you seen this message!

  • Did you record this with a french fry?

  • hey this is what i wold do

put it on the ground covering the whole thing

then when a person comes they will scream

then you point the mittle finger at them

  • This is dope. if this only won 4th place, i'm wondering what won 1st?

  • Wow cool how does the pressure sensing work?!

  • This is super cool.

Build the arm to go with it.

  • can u tell me how much total cost .....i am trying to build a robot that can pick a ball by copying my hand action.. can u help me if u can...

  • Using MAD Systems they could do things like pick up RailroadTies, TelephonePoles, etc, then cut them in half. As to what exactly happened to that Program I don't know? But it was the right direction to go. If a few of those can be delivered to the Field by Aircraft or Trucks then Camps can be Quickly Improved. SandBags that weigh 100 #'s, to the Operator seem to weigh only 1 #! Pallets can be moved around with little effort. One man can work all day with ease! In say 12 hours another takes over!

  • If that was 4th Place then what was 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place?

Pull My Finger was an Unintended Joke! The Robot Made Me do it! Geez that stinks!

I noticed that the Hand was not able to Squeeze the Football.Insufficient Power in Servo's? Seems that would be easy enough to fix with larger more powerful Servo's You could Amplfy the Power of the Hand!

The Army Started Experiments back in the Late 1950's - 1960's called Man Amplification Devices. MAD for short. Like Aliens with Strap on Loaders!

  • its a modifyed nintendo power gluve

  • nice dod

  • haha i want one so badly

  • PoWER GLOVE!

  • thats really impressive, i wish i knew how to do stuff like that,

what if you were to make the robotic hand abit larger and hollow in the middle, making it sort of like an exosceloton armor that goes ontop of the glove on your arm that enhances your strenght. Ive seen something similar done by the army but it was for lifting up heavy objects

What do you have to study at university to get to do stuff like that as a job, or did you just research everything on your own?

  • Play mercy with that.

  • I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.

  • Very nice job. Works great. I can see that was a hell of a lot of brain and mechanical work. What if you made a larger hand and put the servos right in the fingers or palm? You could put the wires inside and get rid of all of the cabling.

  • podrias usarlo para armar un robot como el de avatar nada mas que no te lo gane el gobierno ¬¬

  • I wanna see you arm wrestle that thing and u should make a howto to it

  • anybody notice that its a POWER GLOVE!!!

  • how can the operator feel anything because the robotic hand has sensors? I see the guy do a complete fist when the robot just gently squeezed the foot ball?

  • THUMB WAR! xD

  • we are fraked lol

  • Is good idea!!! congratulations!!!

  • howmuch did it cost you????

  • OMG that glove looks just like the old Nintendo glove controller.

  • @tanchi220

Actually you're right on; the original Nintendo power glove was ideal for the sensor glove.

Granted, the glove is the most uncomfortable thing EVER to wear, and the sensors that came in the glove were useless (I inserted my own flavor of sensors in their place).

    Good call though ;)

  • diagram of your interface sorry

  • Very Good..!!

please could provide your interface diagramade

    please

    please

    i want make this..!!

  • Search YouTube for "Endo-Exo Henssge".

    GREAT MEDICAL NEWS for amputees...!

  • Crap :|

  • Great work. If this won 4th place, what won 1st?

  • I want one. :|

  • that is the same thing i was thinking

  • how did you think of this project? How did you go about making it? I'm working on a sci. fair project now, but I'm having trouble determining feasability and the topic's reliability. Since you have experience, do you have any suggestions?

  • I'm also into hardware/software programming but more for internet and wifi connections, would be soo cool to have such a hand on my wifi robot and control it from my computer ! :O

  • whats it powered by? how does it move?

  • electricity! duh : and you can clearly see the servo's and he says 'servo's' ... what didn't you understand ?

  • lol, i dont have sound on my computer, thats why i didn't hear him. since i wasnt that interested in electronics (i am now and i definitly see them as servos) i didnt recognise them as servos.

  • pretty cool these would help ppl with missing limbs

  • i dont think that was the point tard

  • secondo me le donne si divertono parecchio

  • okay..... so.......now what?

  • LOLLLL THE POWER GLOVE

  • really cool, i would like to play rock paper scissor with it XD

  • lol youll never win :D

  • Chuck Noris could win.

  • buit a complete robot that emitates all your movements, you can go with it for a walk. :-)

  • Hello, I think that is a great project, and I´d like to know what kind of motors did you use?, I'm doing something similar but I'm using some Stepping Motors. thnaks

  • those look lik hobby servos to me

  • airtronics coreless servos.

back in the day these were some of the fastest, most powerful servos you could buy.

Now there are several servos which are both smaller, faster and provide more torque than these.

  • @engimonkey Hello guy you ar genius. can you tell me how did do that.

Please write evrything about this.Thank you very much

  • kool

  • Play the piano!

  • wait, is that a haxed powerglove?

  • hahahaha

  • yes ...read the more info

  • im working on building a helmet with the psp camera inside for the eyes but i need a sponsor

  • Why do you need a sponsor?

  • This may be the most perstegious use of a nintendo power golve ever.

Good concept, especially the feedback feature. Difficulty in gageing the force applied by a remotely operated mimic appendage is the greatest hurdle in implimenting these in the field. Without that, I doubt this would have done nearly as well in the competition. Nicely done.

  • he should put the middle finger up

  • that a good project wishing u good luck in the whole body soy u can make a robot that u control it by ur body

  • The only thing I thout about was "The Adams" xD

  • I wonder if it is possibull to mimmic the movments of an entire human body..

this is very clever but now that would be completely amazing!

Imagin what you could do being able to controle a robot with your own movments while looking through a camera to see what it can see..

    that would be soo clever!

  • try playing gutar hero with it

  • good for disabling bombs.. sell it!!

  • good comment i agree

  • Now it would be cool to somehow connect the nerve endings to one's brain. This would enable a person who as lost a hand and/or arm to use a robotic hand for a replacement.

  • yea but to do that the wires would have to be closer to the nerve endings than just on top of bare skin .they would have to be placed more or less under the skin conected to the nerves. that would still be a kick ass idea though

  • Been done, though by no means an exact science as yet, nor even practical. The equipment I saw was bulky and overly exposed, but was being operated by an amputee.

  • also they dont follow the same natural hand movements, you have to 'learn' new ways to control the hand... its pretty much got nothing to do with the tech or intention in this vid.

  • @jogni That's a great idea! If you notice, the servos aren't directly moving the hand. They are tied to wire like strings that are pulling back and forth on the robotic hand. If these wires could be somehow fused with the tendons in a person, this is totally possible.

  • That's awesome for a 15-16 yr. old!

  • He was 15 when he started building the hand, and 16 when he built the glove.

    ;o)

  • you know he flips the bird haha

  • wow i want to know how to make this :D :P!

  • hum..... i have say thats nice

  • ok...
